[Bug 755335] [NEW] BraseroChecksumImage finished with an error

2011-04-09 Thread GarethTheRed
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

Using Brasero to copy three small text files to CD. Brasero initially claims a
successful burn, but the checksum fails. When the CD is inserted into any
computer, nothing happens - it doesn't claim that the CD is blank (and opens
the computer's CD burning app) nor does it show any data. All computers (both
Ubuntu and Windows) behave as if no CD has been inserted.
Tried with a USB DVD burner and the same thing happened. Also changed from a
CD-R to a CD-RW and the same happened again.

[Bug 328127] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon returns Agent admitted failure to sign using the key.

2010-06-10 Thread GarethTheRed
Also noticed that the 'ssh-add' fix worked for me. Should have tried it
before my previous post!

2010-06-10 Thread GarethTheRed
I also have this issue, but only since I rebuilt the ssh server (Ubuntu Server
10.04 LTS) and created new keys. My client (Lucid) hasn't changed other than
routine updates and I don't recall any ssh ones there.
The SSH_AUTH_SOCK fix works.

[Bug 507139] Re: Evince prints parts it should not.

2010-01-17 Thread GarethTheRed
I've attached an out of date PDF (they are only valid for one day). For
security, I've used PDFEDIT to change the name and address of the sender
and recipient (me). If this edit has changed anything else and you
can't see this bug then I shall purchase new postage with fictional
addresses for you. It will take at least 24hrs for it to expire between
purchasing the PDF and attaching it here.

Regards,

Gareth.

[Bug 507139] [NEW] Evince prints parts it should not.

2010-01-13 Thread GarethTheRed
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

In the UK the Royal Mail allows consumers to purchase and print postage online.
The website returns a PDF document which should be printed onto the envelope
or onto plain paper and pasted to the envelope. The PDF documents has the
words "Sample will not appear when printed" across it.
When I use MS Windows, the PDF prints without this message (as it should).
However, if I use Linux and evince to print, the words unfortunately do show up
on the finished envelope.

[Bug 139624] Re: No window border displayed.

2007-09-14 Thread GarethTheRed
I have to come clean here. After noticing this bug, then finding all
the hassle involved in running Firefox plugins etc under 64 bit Ubuntu,
then reading about the minimal performance difference between 64 and 32
bit, I decided to start over again and install 32 bit Gutsy. This has
just finished installing and upgrading. It does not have the same issue
with metacity. I therefore cannot give you my .xsession-errors file.
Unless someone else reports this, I believe this bug should be closed.

[Bug 139624] No window border displayed.

2007-09-14 Thread GarethTheRed
Public bug reported:

Similar to bug #76596. I recently installed Gutsy Gibon for AMD64 on my Intel
Core 2 Duo laptop, and all went exceptionally well. Much easier than 7.04 and
much easier than I anticipated.
Everything worked fine and after a while I was told I had updates available. I
allowed the system to update and rebooted. Now when it logs on, there are no
borders or titlebar! I rebooted again just in case, but it didn't help.
I can temporarily fix this by running 'metacity --replace' and borders and
titlebar appear.
I've deleted '.metacity' from my home directory but this didn't help. I've
changed nothing else, and in fact I've done nothing to the vanilla CD install
except update it - not even used it much.
I read somewhere that it's possible to set up metacity to generate a log file,
but I can't seem to find those instructions at the moment!
