2011-08-31 Thread Gianfranco Liporace
Hi Marcel,
thanks for your time in trying to solve this issue!
I find out that i can trigger this bug when i try to add a file located in a
remote folder (in my case a SMB share) in either a local or a remote zip
archive.
Hope that this can help!

[Bug 730657] [NEW] Can't use 'Crop to selection' function in Gimp

2011-03-07 Thread Gianfranco Liporace
Public bug reported:

Open an image file, from the toolbox select 'Rectangle selection' and draw a

[Bug 335438] [NEW] Can't make a compressed file on a remote folder

2009-02-27 Thread Gianfranco Liporace
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

Hi,
trying to make a zip archive with files located on a smb share gives me this
error (from italian):
Error opening file
'/home/gliporace/.cache/.fr-x-xKtnQz/remote-folder/random-file-to-zip.ext': is
a directory.

The strange thing is that looking in
'/home/gliporace/.cache/.fr-x-xKtnQz/remote-folder/' there's indeed a
directory named 'random-file-to-zip.ext' which is instead a file.

Thanks!

latter covered by the selector band (like if it is opaque).

happen.

[Bug 45355] Nautilus doesn't show anymore unmounted cd/dvd-rom icons in 'Computer' location

Binary package hint: nautilus

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but i used to have all the
cd/dvd drive icons listed in the 'Computer' location, also when there
isn't any disc inserted. When a disc is inserted, the icon pops up both
on the desktop and in Nautilus 'Computer'.

[Bug 45355] Re: Nautilus doesn't show anymore unmounted cd/dvd-rom icons in 'Computer' location

2006-05-18 Thread Gianfranco Liporace
Just find this in gnome-vfs2 last changelog:

   * debian/patches/96_from_cvs_only_non_automounted_listed.patch:
 - patch from CVS, list only drives which don't do automount,
use storage.media_check_enabled hal property for that
   (Ubuntu: #33451, #41740)

So it is intentional!

[Bug 34063] Unable to start g-v-m

2006-03-28 Thread Gianfranco Liporace
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34063

Comment:
No, I work as local user, i own the machine. I think the problem is, that I
manually modified the common-auth and common-passwd files to have kerberos
authentication, so they weren't modified when libpam-foreground were installed
the firts time.
To let you know, i've put pam-foregroundso in common-session to get g-v-m
working again.
