[Bug 1833098] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_is_a() from g_file_get_parent() from _st_theme_resolve_url() from _st_theme_node_ensure_background() from st_theme_node_pain

2019-06-18 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
I can (somewhat) reliably reproduce the issue. It happens after I unlock
the screen and when I try switching desktops right after that. If I wait
a little after unlocking it seems to work fine.

Hope this helps.

2019-06-17 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
As I stated in the OP, I initially talked with the wsmatrix maintainer
and, as he suggested, disabled the extension for a while and the crashes
continued.

I will try disabling the extension once again and following your
directions in #2 to report new crashes.

[Bug 1832856] [NEW] Gnome-shell crashes frequently

2019-06-14 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
Public bug reported:

After the update to 3.32.1 gnome-shell crashes frequently. Before, on
3.32.0, I had no crashes and had a stable desktop. Now, I get 3-4
crashes a day, on average.

Here is log snippet on the crash:

I talked to the maintainer of wsmatrix extension and, as he suggested, I
disabled the extension and concluded that that the crashes are not the
extension's fault.

If there something I can do to help debug this issue I'll be glad to
help.

[Bug 1817685] [NEW] Dell XPS 15 reboots when resuming from suspend

2019-02-26 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
Public bug reported:

After upgrading to version 3.30.2-1~ubuntu18.10.3, when I resume from
suspend my laptop reboots. It seems to suspend correctly but when i try
to resume it simply reboots. Every time.

After downgrading to 3.30.1-1, everything is fine again.

This happened only with 3.30.2-1~ubuntu18.10.3. Before that I was
running 3.30.2-1~ubuntu18.10.2 with no issues.

Is there something I can do to help debug this issue?

I'm running Ubuntu 18.10.

Re: [Bug 1804008] Re: Gnome Shell extensions crash

2018-11-20 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
Hi. Thanks for your answer.

Is there some other steps i can take to help debug? It's very hard for me
to disable all extensions since i really depend on some of them to make my
desktop at least usable.

Thanks again. Regards.

[Bug 1804008] [NEW] All Gnome Shell extensions crash

2018-11-19 Thread Gonçalo Marrafa
Public bug reported:

All my gnome-shell extensions randomly (apparently) crash. This behavior
began when i upgraded to cosmic.

(0x55669ffd87a0), has been already deallocated — impossible to access it. This
might be caused by the object having been destroyed from C code using something
such as destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs.
