[Bug 411268] [NEW] No thumbnails for RAW files in import dialog
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot I use to shoot RAW files with my Canon EOS 1000 D (*.cr2). When I connect the camera to my computer (Ubuntu 9.04; F-Spot 0.5.0.3), the F-Spot import dialog pops up showing a tiny thumbnail for each image on the camera. But when I take the SD card out of my camera and plug it into a card reader, the same dialog pops up without showing any thumbnails. This is quite annoying, because the detect duplicates feature doesn't work either. I know that F-Spot can handle Canon's *.cr2 RAW files, so why aren't they shown in this dialog? [Bug 191316] Re: Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80
I am having the same problem with Ubuntu Jaunty, F-Spot 0.5.0.3 and my Canon EOS 1000 D. Until some weeks ago everything worked fine (I am using F-Spot since Dapper!). Then suddenly a camera icon appeared on my desktop after plugging in my camera. When I tried to import images from within F-Spot, it told me, that it could not access the device exclusively or so (sorry, but the original output is german). Now, I first have to unmount the camera before I can import images the way I used to do before. But the most funny fact is, that this does not happen when I import images from my wife's or my daughter's account on the same computer. Then everything works fine. It just happens when I am logged in as myself. So I suppose, it might be some issue in my user settings. But I did not change anything intentionally. -- Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 354264] Re: Imports all photos to the root of the home directory
I can confirm this, too. In intrepid f-spot imported to the configured directory, since upgarde to jaunty it imports direcly into my home- directory without any subdirectory-structure. I can change the import directory in the import dialog, but f-spot does not remember that. -- Imports all photos to the root of the home directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354264 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I've solved this problem by deleting the ~/.local directory. ** Changed in: f-spot (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- Ubuntu 8.10: Edit in GIMP does not work in F-Spot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 317477] [NEW] Ubuntu 8.10: Edit in GIMP does not work in F-Spot
Public bug reported: When I right-click on a photo in F-Spot and choose Edit with GIMP, F-Spot asks me, if it should create a new version of the photo. When I confirm this, the new version will be created, but GIMP won't open. I have this problem since I've upgraded to Intrepid. In Hardy (and before) everything worked fine. ** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu 8.10: Edit in GIMP does not work in F-Spot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Hmmm, the update made my microphone work with ALSA - but when I open the GNOME volume controls (Mixer), it is always marked as muted although it works. -- erratic elapsed time count in sound recorder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-media in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
