[Bug 123420] Re: new bookmark topics will not show

2007-07-01 Thread Holger Bauer
I see the same behaviour here. However as soon as I add a bookmark to the new
category it shows up in the bookmarks menu.
Maybe this behaviour is intended and empty categories are not shown? That makes
sense to me, since categories without any bookmarks are quite useless.

[Bug 107843] Re: gfloppy is not included in feisty gnome-utils

2007-04-30 Thread Holger Bauer
This is probably caused by this changelog entry.
"2007-02-04 Emmanuele Bassi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

* configure.in: Add a configure switch for enabling or disabling
building GFloppy: you can force disabling it even if the requirements
were met. (#404236)

While we are at it, fix some of the enable/with help strings and
checks; I should really clean up configure.in one of these days.

Rebuilding the feisty package with --enable-gfloppy=yes added to the

This doesn't look like a bug in alacarte. The .desktop/.directory file is

[Bug 59815] Re: Duplicate language entries in menu when playing dvds

2006-10-02 Thread Holger Bauer
I tested it with gmplayer now. Mplayer gives a bit more information,
e.g. german - dolbie 5.1, german - dolbie 5.1 stereo. However it named
two different entries the same too. (Tracks that featured comments from
two different people.) So mplayer is slightly better, but not perfect.
:)

And yes I consider this a bug. Why are the entries named the same when they
mean different things. Why do I need to guess, when I want english language
with director's comments etc.
I'm curious: Do you think this is not a bug?

Maybe totem could show only the sound entry that matches
preferences->audio? For example, when I set audio to stereo, then show
only "language dolbie stereo" and hide "language dolbie 5.1".

It should also show that one track has original audio and one has
comments etc. Or is it not possible to read this information from dvd?

[Bug 31331] [Dapper] Partitions mounted with option user are no longer shown on desktop

2006-02-22 Thread Holger Bauer
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31331

Comment:
Well all mounted partitions, that were not mounted under /media or didn't have
the option user in fstab (vfat and ntfs filesystem), simply got no icon on the
desk and/or didn't show up in places.
That way you could hide/show the partiton by mounting it to a different mount
point or adding/removing an option in fstab.

[Bug 31331] [Dapper] Partitions mounted with option user are no longer shown on desktop

2006-02-17 Thread Holger Bauer
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31331

Comment:
I'm sorry but I have to add another strange result after restarting the system
as opposed to only restarting dbus.
After I change /system/storage/display_internal_hard_drives from false to true
and a restart of dbus, I see only partitions mounted with the option user or
mounted under /media as a icon in places. The partitons are named after their
mountingpoints. This is exactly the same result as in breezy.

When I restart my system with display_internal_hard_drives set to true
right from the start, I get different results. All mounted partitions
are shown in places/on the desk etc. They are also labelled differently,
e.g. 'Harddisk 3,6GB'.

So my real question is: Can I still selectively show only some mounted
partitions as a toplevel item, i.e. an extra icon on the desk or under
"places" or in nautilus tree view in dapper. This was possible up until
breezy.

Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31331

Is this really a duplicate of #28991 ?
This bug is about drives that show up nowhere with an extra icon. There is no
icon in "places", no icon on the desktop and no "specialdrive icon" in the tree
in the browser mode. Changing /apps/nautilus/desktop/*_visible to true makes no
difference. These keys are not responsible for an entry under "places" anyway.
