[Bug 379258] [NEW] Fspot displays an error message when resizing jpg files

2009-05-21 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 9.04
Release:9.04

f-spot:
  Installed: 0.5.0.3-1ubuntu6
  Candidate: 0.5.0.3-1ubuntu6
  Version table:
 *** 0.5.0.3-1ubuntu6 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Supposedly, fspot can automatically resize my pictures from a given
pixel. My Ubuntu 7.10 machine does the resize operation without any
error.

When I try resizing pictures using my 9.04 machine, it displays the
error message box (attached as screenshot). Same happen with the same
message box when I try converting the same picture using my Karmic
testing box.

[Bug 377459] Re: Closing a folder refreshes the entire Desktop area

2009-05-17 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Yes its reproducible, open or create a folder on the desktop then close
it again causing the entire desktop area to be refreshed.

But, I had observed that this does not happen to the secondary account I
created. It only happen when I use the primary account.

[Bug 377475] Re: Nautilus cancels file copy process

2009-05-17 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Yes, the scenario is reproducible on my primary account, as I did not
test it on the secondary account I created. I opened nautilus to access
a network folder to copy some files on my local drive. It showed the
file copying progress window which means that the file transfer process
in ongoing, I tried closing the network folder but it refreshed the
entire desktop area and canceling the file transfer/copy process. My
solution was to leave the network folder windows open so as not to
interrupt the data transfer.

[Bug 377475] Re: Nautilus cancels file copy process

2009-05-17 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Sad to say the scenario did not happen while I retested it so obtaining some
valuable informations for a solution did not show while doing the backtrace
process.
Hopefully that was just some technical glitches that caused the file transfer
operation to fail. I'll still be observing this scenario in order to reproduce
it if this is really a bug.

Thank you,

Ian

[Bug 377459] Re: Closing a folder refreshes the entire Desktop area

2009-05-17 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Refresh as in all items located on Desktop including auto mounted
drives disappear and re-appear.

Normally, closing an opened folder does not automatically Refresh the
Desktop. Only when you press F5 function key (Desktop is focused) that
it refreshes the Desktop.

I'll observe this for now as things seems to be on their right function
as of the moment, closing opened folder does not automatically refresh
the Desktop.

Thank you,

Ian

[Bug 377459] [NEW] Closing a folder refreshes the entire Desktop area

2009-05-16 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release:9.10

nautilus:
  Installed: 1:2.27.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1:2.27.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1:2.27.1-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Closing a single opened folder will just close the folder without
affecting the Desktop area. Now, closing an opened folder tends to
refresh the whole Desktop area.

[Bug 377475] [NEW] Nautilus cancels file copy process

2009-05-16 Thread Ian Ace Culallad
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Usually, when trying to copy files from one folder location to another
(and closing the folders, both source and destination) would normally
just leave the file operation window open. Now, when you close the
folders (source or destination) - copy process will also cancel while
entire Desktop refreshes.
