Daniel, I don't know. I use Nvidia 440.64 driver and it works. Also I disabled animations. Very strange. It doesn't work in Software and Updates when I push checkboxes in Other software. But works in Control Center-> Users when click Unlock. Firstly, when I go to Control Center-> Users and click Unlock I see background dark window and after that temporary see Gnome Ubuntu initial login screen and it disappears. After copy I got blocked DVD-drive. DVD was reading all the time. I couldn't unmount it, so I used pin for eject. After that I ejected DVD, but DVD-drive was working all the time. In Dapper Gnome doesn't hang DVD. Now I think problem is DVD drive support in Ubuntu. Because in Ubuntu drive can't find some tracks during playing video from DVD+RW. So it continuosely seeks track and after 2 minutes stops playing of DVD+RW. Also the speed of reading is too slow. In FontConfig I see Sans font for all documentcs and aplications. Sans Bold for titles and Monospace for monospace. In the Firefox screenshot you can see Sage Plugin fonts. They're blurred. Also see titles of articles in Evince screenshot of May2006 TuxMagazine. I suppose the problem is Sans Bold. The lens of DVD-drive brokenly moves trying to read the disc. I see the problem with GNOME. Because Windows plays these AVIs without ANY problem. I will try to copy the AVI and tell you. I used Sonic RecordNow with default settings. Type: Track at Once (TAO), Open Mode: Mode1 Filesystem: ISO+Joliet (106 characters) Write Once DVD Compatibility: I would like to use discs for more than 1 recording (.. but fewer DVD drives will be able to read the disc) Also I tryed to burn AVIs in GnomeBaker. The proccess of burning was without errors. AVI files on DVD+RW were read OK! I saw settings Joliet, Rock Ridge. I have drive SONY DVD RW DW-D56A. I haven't tryed DVD-RWs yet, but CDs and DVD+Rs are OK. Also I tryed DVD+RW burned in DVD-Video format written in other Windows program. It's OK too. Description of problem: Every time I open disc with AVIs written in RecordNow, in Ubuntu I get icon of DVD-RW appeared on Gnome desktop. After opening icon in Nautilus I see it tryes to read the disc. I see preview of some AVI files, but not all. It seems to me Nautilus try to read contents of all disc but without success. If I open AVI file on disc, Totem shows movie only 2 minutes and then jumps to beginning of film. After some time Nautilus hangs DVD and I can't forcefully unmount it. I get unmount error.
