[Bug 509079] Re: nautilus has tabs on bottom
Having tabs back on top is nice, but it breaks (again) some other things. When You are dragging a file from folder to one of the buttons in breadcrumb navigation, You often go across some other tab. If You are not fast enough (I mean really fast), crossing the tab activates it and the path represented by breadcrumb buttons changes to activated tab's path. Only way to avoid this is to drag upwards across source tab only, carefully around all other tabs, and then to right/left to destination button. When I first saw the tabs at bottom, thought to myself: Oh, they are aware of this issue and this is supposed to be a fix. [Bug 387723] [NEW] nautilus-home.desktop silently fails to open home directory when is called by process started early at session startup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Nautilus 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 silently fails to open user's home directory when is called trough /usr/share/applications/nautilus-home.desktop by a process started early at the GNOME session startup. This is bug heavily affects the GNOME Do's Files and Folders plugin - when GNOME Do is set to start with the session, opening home dir by it latter fails, showing only "Starting Home Folder" on taskbar for a few seconds, no further erros emmited. See bug 290136. This can be easily solved by changing line 6 in /usr/share/applications /nautilus-home.desktop from "Exec=nautilus --no-desktop" to "Exec=nautilus --no-desktop .". Notice the whitespace and the dot at the end, pointing to the current directory, which is in this case user's home. ** Affects: do Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: do Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nautilus-home.desktop silently fails to open home directory when is called by process started early at session startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387723 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 372163] Re: system monitor ignores network resource
I confirm this bug on current Jaunty, with PPP connection not managed by network-manager (PCMCIA modem), but that's not the cause. System Monitor Applet seems to be rewriten a bit - "SLIP", "PLIP" and "Other" interfaces are gone, probably as obsolete. ** Changed in: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- system monitor ignores network resource https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372163 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 326258] Re: gconf-editor - Ugly Key Type Icons
Wow, these from gnome-look.org looks really good and clean. Definitelly a papercut because: 1. Affects an application which is essential part of GNOME desktop 2. Improves users visual experience a lot 3. rugby471, can You please provide a screenshot of patched gconf-editor? I'm considering to add this bug to One Hundred Paper Cuts Project (https://launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts), because it's really easy to fix it (the patch exists already), I just want to be sure about results. [Bug 379428] [NEW] gnome-display-properties confirmation dialog mostly appears under the Display preferences window
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center The timed confirmation dialog, which appears right after changing screen resolution / display layout in gnome-display-properties, is mostly placed under the the Display preferences window (sometimes even completely covered by it). Given the importance of this dialog, which demands user's promptly reaction, it should be set as "Always on top" (or opened on top under all conditions at least). How to reproduce: Plug an external monitor (best with different native resolution) to your laptop, open Display preferences, set the laptop display to "off" and the external display to "on", click "Apply". If confirmation dialog appears correctly on top by accident, repeat the steps above until it happens. This bug affects gnome-control-center 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3 (9.04 Jaunty). ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-display-properties confirmation dialog mostly appears under the Display preferences window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/379428 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
