[Bug 552696] Re: GTK applications fail to print large photos on Konica Minolta magicolor 2550

2010-05-25 Thread JanG
It has 4GB of RAM, the other tested PC 512MB. When trying to print those
images there is always far enough free memory left.

[Bug 578808] Re: Cant assign Mod4+Shift+9 as hotkey

2010-05-23 Thread JanG
I could reproduce this by setting the application launcher dialog to
shortcut Shift+Alt+8 and Shift+Alt+9 using a german keyboard layout
(deadgraveacute) where Shift+8 represents ( and Shift+9 represents
). The dialog did not start using those two shortcuts (Alt+F2 and
other random shortcuts did work).

[Bug 552696] [NEW] GTK applications fail to print large photos on Konica Minolta magicolor 2550

2010-03-31 Thread JanG
Public bug reported:

When I try printing large Photos using GTK applications, the printer prints
nothing.
Affected applications are at least:
gthumb
eog
f-spot (in karmic)
gimp
Not affected is at least:
Gwenview (KDE)

When I print a large photo to a pdf file from these applications, the
pdf file looks absolutely correct, but again printing the pdf file from
evince or acroread does not work, with okular it works without problems.

The CUPS error_log does not complain about anything. The print jobs seem
to get send correctly to the printer, the printer then starts heating
and processing but then reports Printed 0/0 pages.

The Printer is a Konica Minolta magicolor 2550 connected via network
using AppSocket/Jetdirect. All other protocols (e.g. IPP or Samba) also
fail. The PPD file is from the Konica Minolta website.

Printing normal PDF documents or smaller photos does work normally.

Another PC with Karmic running connected to the same printer does also
suffer this problem.

[Bug 428115] Re: Computer no longer locks on suspend or lid close

2009-10-06 Thread JanG
For me, there is nothing fixed. Using indicator-session - hibernate and
turning back on brings me directly to the desktop, even if i have activated
locking the screen in screensaver settings.
Or is this the same as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/436724 as I
have auto-login enabled?

Packages are up-to-date karmic:
gnome-power-manager: 2.28.0-0ubuntu2
indicator-session: 0.1.6-0ubuntu1

$ gconftool -R /apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons
 lid_battery = blank
 hibernate = hibernate
 suspend = suspend
 lid_ac = nothing
 power = interactive

[Bug 428115] Re: Computer no longer locks on suspend or lid close

2009-10-06 Thread JanG
The bug is about suspend, hibernate is a different case and could use
 a different bug

Sorry, I meant suspend!
With gdm auto-login disabled this is working for me, so bug #436724 is the
right one for my problem.

[Bug 291114] Re: evince crashed with SIGSEGV in TextPage::beginWord()

2008-10-31 Thread JanG
I downgraded to libpoppler2_0.6.4-1ubuntu3.1 and evince_2.22.2-0ubuntu1
from hardy and the pdf-file works without problems, so this certainly is
a regression.
