Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
Evolution, when launched, causes a Gconf error.
As per instructions below...
1.) Release of Ubuntu:
Description:Ubuntu 10.10
Release:10.10
2.) Version of package:
evolution:
Installed: 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1
Candidate: 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1
Version table:
*** 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick-updates/main i386
Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
2.30.3-1ubuntu6 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages
3.) Expected a clean, fast opening of Evolution
4.) Got error message Gconf error: Type mismatch Expected list, got string
The program seems to run ok but is slower than I would expect and also it has
issues with accessing the contact databases in that it won't copy contacts from
Google to Local Couch DB Ubuntu on database. This second bit may be unrelated,
I'm not sure.
I hope this helps.
JB
