[Bug 2021446] [NEW] rhythmbox plugin grilo no longer discovers UPNP media share

2023-05-28 Thread Jason Moore
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu <=22.10 the grilo rhythmbox plugin automatically discovered a
UPnP media share from my Synology Network Attached Storage device on my
local network. When I upgraded to Ubuntu 23.04, rhythmbox no longer
detects the media share.

I've confirmed that the share is detected on a computer with 22.10 but
not on two computers with 23.04 (all on the same LAN). I've also
confirmed that VLC media player detects the share on the Ubuntu 23.04
computers.

I first posted a report here, thinking it was due to an update on the
NAS:

https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/160502

I then opened this issue on Rhythmbox's bug tracker:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/rhythmbox/-/issues/2047

I expected Rhythmbox+Grilo to automatically discover a UPnP share on my
local area network when on Ubuntu 22.10, but it does not discover the
share.

[Bug 1724955] Re: unable to drag monitors in Display Arrangement

2018-01-30 Thread Jason Moore
I have three screens: builtin laptop screen and two external monitors.
If I turn off the builtin laptop screen, I am not able to rearrange the
remaining two screens with the mouse. But if I have all 3 screens
enabled I can arrange them as desired and then turn off the builtin
screen after. This confirms dreamwalker's solution.

[Bug 1736583] [NEW] Evince annotations lost on save

2017-12-05 Thread Jason Moore
Public bug reported:

I used Evince to annotate a ~70 page PDF. Over a few hours I added a
handful of annotations to each page. After every 5th page or so I would
"Save a Copy" in a new file name (same filename on every save). When I
finished editing the document I saved and noticed that the modified time
was not updating on the file. When opening the copy, no annotations were
present. I tried saving as different file names and the same thing
occurred. Then, stupidly, I opened the original file and it closed the
file I had open with the hundreds of annotations and now no files have
the annotations. My computer is currently at this state. I would really
like to be able to recover the annotations if they happen to be in a
cache file somewhere. Secondly, this seems to be a bug.

[Bug 1668089] Re: Picasa API 501 Not Implemented

2017-04-24 Thread Jason Moore
Since the feature is gone, it would be nice if we could select and drag
photos from Shotwell into the photos.google.com browser interface.
Currently you have to find the files on the file system to be able to
drag them.
