[Bug 1573927] [NEW] Find tool misses terms with line breaking charakter

2016-04-23 Thread Jens Herrmann
Public bug reported:

Take a random pdf document, look for a term at the end of a line with a
hyphen in it. Try to find it using the find tool. You will notice the
term cannot be found.

[Bug 1504570] [NEW] Using clipboard in evince scrambles text

2015-10-09 Thread Jens Herrmann
Public bug reported:

1. Open the PDF on
https://web.archive.org/web/20091228225958/http://www.bmvit.gv.at/verkehr/strasse/sicherheit/downloads/epigus_lichtamTag.pdf
with evince and go to the last page (page 21)
2. Mark the entire 3rd paragraph and copy the text to the clipboard
3. Paste the text in an editor like mousepad
4. The order of words has changed now. One can see this already when marking
the text. Everything is ok til the 2nd word of the 3rd line, then the next word
should be "Sicherheitsvorteil" but "Früherkennung" in the 4th line gets marked
instead.

The original text looks like this:
Fahren mit Licht am Tag bringt bei guten Lichtverhältnissen / optimalen
Bedingungen (trockene Fahrbahn, beste Sichtverhältnisse) offensichtlich
keinen realen Sicherheitsvorteil, da der geringe Zeitgewinn der
Früherkennung durch längere Zuwendungsdauern zum Scheinwerfer
paralysiert (zunichte gemacht) wird.

[Bug 1421100] [NEW] Printer produces white printouts for pages in landscape mode

2015-02-12 Thread Jens Herrmann
Public bug reported:

I have a pdf document with 6 pages where page 1 and 2 are in portrait
orientation, page 3-6 in landscape. When I try to print the document
with evince page 1 and 2 are printed correctly while pages 3-6 are white
paper.

Bursting the document and printing them as single page pdfs resulted in
white pages again. I was able to print the document with okular.

I use a Samsung ML-1640 connected to a Thinkpad T500 and was able to
reproduce the bug on a 2nd system a Dell D620 also connected to a
Samsung ML-1640.

[Bug 1320132] [NEW] Evince crashes with segmentation fault

2014-05-16 Thread Jens Herrmann
Public bug reported:

1. Open the pdf attached
2. See evince crashing with segmentation fault

I tried to deliver a backtrace but failed. Behaviour is somewhat different in
gdb - evince freezes now and does not crash. When I close evince and get back
to the terminal I am not able to type anything in the command line. CTRC+C does
not help.
This is how far I got:
