[Bug 197762] Re: file transfers on USB flash key (pendrive) or USB HDD are slowing down with time
Ted, I couldn't agree more. I'm not sure I fall into what you would call someone official in Ubuntu, but I am the Kernel Bug Triager. My stance on these is to have reporters, with any deviation from the reported bug they think is affecting them, file a new bug while subscribing to the bug they find similar. In this fashion, they are able to test fixes against their reported issue for the other reported bugs. The difficulty is in the push to consolidate that seems to be afflicting some bug tragers. This is difficult to address, as I am sure you can imagine. For what it is worth, I appreciate that you take the time to look at these issues and comment on them. Given that the nature of this bug ticket has changed so much since it was reported, and given the fact that no one here seems to be willing to continue work on their respective bugs. I am marking this particular bug as Invalid. Those of you affected by this whose bugs are marked as duplicates will need to remove the duplicate designation. To the reporter, Amar Boudjerida, please open a new bug for your issue and we will begin again. To those of you who did not file a bug in favor of marking this bug 'me too', please file a bug with your collected data and a clear description of the issue in both the bug title and the description fields so that we may work them as appropriate. Ted, I'd like for you and I to chat a bit about the best way to go about the ubuntu kernel bug filing process if you are open to it. I think between us we can get this to a better place. Hi Filippo, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid. If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 334206 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: needs-kernel-logs ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kj-triage ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Brightness changes multiple times during boot up and doesn't get back to the last used one https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334206 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I have no screensaver set. The timing is a bit erratic, but I tend to see it within 10 to 15 minutes of starting the game. When this occurs there is no method by which I have been able to resume the game. I've also done a swap back to the normal driver with the same behavior. I am continuing to debug the scenario. -JFo -- lbreakout2 pauses and becomes windowed every 10-15 minutes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155955 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber (via bug 32457). -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
