[Bug 808490] [NEW] Nautilus demands gtk3 and refuses to work with gtk2

2011-07-10 Thread Joe_Bishop
Public bug reported:

When trying to launch nautilus the next message will appear:
Gtk-ERROR **: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same
process is not supported.
The ldd /usr/bin/nautilus | grep gtk shows:
 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 = /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (0x7f53b5f03000)
 libgtk-3.so.0 = /usr/lib/libgtk-3.so.0 (0x7f53b261f000)
 libdbusmenu-gtk.so.3 = /usr/lib/libdbusmenu-gtk.so.3 (0x7f53b1269000)

I suppose it was caused by recent update, since It worked OK before it.
I tried to reinstall nautilus (cleared the package cache before) and it
didn't help.

[Bug 533956] [NEW] Wrong edges rendering with xcompmgr

2010-03-07 Thread Joe_Bishop
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

So, I'm using xcompmgr for compositing and there's drawing issues with
gnome-terminal (I didn't notice same things with other apps).
Just see these two screenshots:
http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/3809/denis-cheremisov.a/0_3ad63_160568e9_orig
http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/3911/denis-cheremisov.a/0_3ad64_90a72931_orig
It seems gnome-terminal memorized colors that were in edges at the first draw
and then using them.

[Bug 518088] [NEW] Create another plugin for indicator, don't touch status icon one

2010-02-06 Thread Joe_Bishop
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I know, you've done this to make looks of the Notification Irea points more
consistent, but IMO you've broken any consistency. I've rarely used their
menues, but I frequently use opening after click which are provided by the most
apps using tray icons, so this behaviour is consistent and it's their primary
function. I've removed indicator applet because I find it pointless since it
still can't open chat window when I want to reply through the Empathy, so I've
just return the upstream notification are icon and happy with it. I completely
disagree with your indicator approach and it really hurts me when I can't open
RB by just clicking its status icon but is given a menu instead or I want to
reply to my buddy, choose the point but get a roster window instead of the chat
one.
My point: create your own indicator plugin which would act as you wish, but
keeps the upstream behaviour of status icon plugin.

Now gdm background differs from xsplash, although gdm session placed
between two xsplash sessions. Moreover, I don't like default backgrounds
since jaunty, so my desktop background differs from both of them (and I
think it's common case). Please, change gdm background to something like
xsplash background (or remove xsplash at all, what for does it need? It
shows nothing)

[Bug 391698] [NEW] jpg convert slider keyboard control issue

2009-06-24 Thread Joe_Bishop
Public bug reported:

Take a look at how to store jpeg images: first it ask for the image quality. It
can be controlled through keyboard. Usually with keys -,+, right arrow, left
arrow, up arrow, down arrow.
-, left and down arrows must decrease image quality
+, right and up arrows must increase image quality.
But up and down are swapped - down arrow increases, up arrow decreases image
quality.

Re: [Bug 363512] Re: Shortcuts doesn't work with cyrillic layout

2009-04-19 Thread Joe_Bishop
How to change layout:
1. Open Add to panel in panel context menu, add Keyboard indicator
applet to the panel.
2. Open Keyboard Preferences of the applet, choose Layouts tab.
3. Touch Add button and then choose either Russian Federation in By
country or Russian in By language tab.

Now start totem, then clicking the applet make your layout Rus and then
press F.

Yes, of course. Just try to create a new note or edit old one.

By default, icon text font in toolbar is the same as Desktop one (set up
through appearance-fonts). But I've customized it's size by adding
following lines into ~/.gtkrc-2.0:

style smaller-text {
  font_name = 8
}

widget_class *ToolButton* style smaller-text
widget_class *StatusBar* style smaller-text

seems it doesn't work with Status Bar, but works OK with Toolbar. The only

Re: [Bug 304805] Re: Cannot access to a child archive when have closed the parent one

2008-12-03 Thread Joe_Bishop
Of course I noticed this in error message, but it shouldn't be so.

2008/12/4 Ilya B [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I think this is how it should be. When you open the inner archive, it is
unpacked from the outer archive to a temporary location. When you close the
outer archive, everything is cleaned up, and the temporary inner archive
file is deleted. After that, you can't extract anything from it.
So this is actually expected behaviour.

Re: [Bug 260588] Re: unmounting through nautilus

2008-09-18 Thread Joe_Bishop
Damn, I forgot to answer you.
You should have some valid iso file and mount it through
fuseiso -p iso image tmp - then it will be mounted to the folder tmp in
the current directory.
Unmounting through nautilus doesn't work for these mounted iso images.

[Bug 268938] [NEW] gconf2-common (or gconf2) doesn't configure itself properly

2008-09-11 Thread Joe_Bishop
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gconf2

Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex.
I needed to repair from the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264329, so, I
manually cleaned dpkg base and purged whole gnome, gtk and gconf. I also
removed all gconf configuration files (~/.gconf* and /etc/gconf). After that I
have installed removed packages with aptitude install ubuntu-desktop
gnome-desktop-environment. But after this I can't launch gnome - the message
appeared that /usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 returned error status

Re: [Bug 215015] Re: evince doesn't print anything

2008-04-11 Thread Joe_Bishop
So, after sudo dpkg-reconfigure evince printing in file works (but no
real printer and PDF printer).
It is strange bug, because at work everything works (I have Xerox Phaser
3122 at home, and HP LaserJet 2015P at work, both using default printing
manager drivers). But, there is another issue: the ugly printing result.
If document was build with LaTeX, it prints common text very ugly. But
maths prints quite well.
I attached the example (document.pdf and output.pdf). Output.pdf is the
PDF file printed page number 12 (number 13, actually, with title page).
You should easily recognize difference between them. And, it takes much
more memory (232Kb of 18 pages in original text vs 2.1Mb of one page).
And it takes 100% of CPU core (Core 2 Quad Q6600) while opening. Result
with real printer is similar to this. And this is definitely bug in the
Evince, because Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 prints this document well. And, to
say, Evince have never properly place pages from PDF while printing -
they have always been displaced.

I have the same problem too, when adding Cheboksary (Russia) in the
list.

Re: [Bug 191655] [NEW] bug in reverse order printing

2008-02-18 Thread Joe_Bishop
It is even more general: when printing pages in reverse order, the first
page is always blank, in cases of even and odd pages. I didn't try with
all pages

When printing document like a book (first print even pages, turn them
over and print odd pages in reverse order), when printing odd pages in
reverse order, the first page is blank. Then it prints the last page,
but it is in wrong order. For example, I had 8-page document
(1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8). First I got 2-4-6-8. Turn them over and began
printing in reverse order. The page #7 wasn't print on the same sheet as
 #8, but on #6. Then #5 was printed with #4, #3 with #2, and, then, #1
was printed on the new sheet.
