[Bug 468871] [NEW] No sound

2009-11-01 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

I'm not getting any sound from the Karmic RC on ia32.

At first I did get sound, but at a very low volume, and the pulseaudio
daemon was using 100% of one of my cores.

So I killed pulseaudio and restarted it. Now I'm not getting any sound
at all. The pulseaudio daemon is running.

[Bug 39554] Re: E-mail start with filter requires an extra leading space to work

2008-10-21 Thread Johan Walles
Can somebody verify this with Intrepid? It seems to have gotten fixed
upstream right after Gutsy.

This is supposedly fixed in 2.12.2:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469007#c10
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370012#c4
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=219297#c9

Gutsy (in which this was last verified) was shipping with 2.12.1:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/evolution

Intrepid ships with 2.24.1 and should have the fix:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/evolution

[Bug 245526] [NEW] Brasero ejects disk before verifying it

2008-07-04 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

Using 0.7.1-3ubuntu1.

After burning a disk, the disk is ejected.

After the disk has been ejected I get a dialog asking me to insert the
just ejected disk for verification.

I would prefer if the disk was not ejected before verification started,
so I could leave it unattended.

I have not found any way to configure this behavior.

[Bug 82617] Re: GDM starts before home directories mounted

2008-03-27 Thread Johan Walles
My DHCP requests don't take 25s any more, so therefore I'm not seeing
this issue any more (Gutsy).

Since my DHCP situation has been resolved, I can unfortunately not say
whether the Ubuntu bug is still there.

[Bug 49127] Re: Long file names are truncated without warning

2008-03-27 Thread Johan Walles
Note that the default CD burning application in Hardy is Brasero, and
this isn't a problem in Brasero.

So while nautilus-cd-burner is apparently still broken, one workaround
for this would be to go with Brasero instead.

Click on the location tab.

[Bug 10669] Might have been fixed by upstream

2007-11-16 Thread Johan Walles
This might have been fixed by upstream:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444503
http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution-exchange?view=revisionrevision=1502

It's a really simple patch (move an if() clause a few lines) that should
be easy to backport if this is deemed important enough.

[Bug 89819] Cannot resize preferences dialogue

2007-03-05 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

Version 2.16.1-0ubuntu2 / Edgy.

Repro:
* Start GEdit.
* Edit-Preferences
* Move the mouse pointer to the corner of the preferences window
* Click + drag

Nothing

This works for other parts of GEdit (like the main window for example). It's a

2007-02-06 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus-cd-burner

UI operations freely translated from Swedish:
From the GNOME desktop:
Places - CD/DVD-creator
Drag a folder into there named buildTools.
Click burn to disk.

When the disk is done, put it into a Windows machine.

Current result:
The buildTools folder name is truncated.

Expected result:
The buildTools folder should have been named buildTools even on Windows.

[Bug 82617] GDM starts before home directories mounted

2007-02-01 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

On my system, this happens every time I boot:
1. Boot...
2. The GDM screen comes up.
3. I try to log in, but get a warning that my home directory is inaccessible
and that nothing will work.
4. I re-try the log in, successfully this time.

[Bug 82617] Re: GDM starts before home directories mounted

2007-02-01 Thread Johan Walles
Can't recall having changed my startup scripts. What I have done though
that made this start happening was that I moved my HD to a new machine.

According to my /var/log/daemon.log it takes about 25s for dhclient to
acquire an IP address on the new machine. Since that's unusually long,
I'd guess there's a race somewhere in the startup scripts that isn't
visible unless DCHP is really slow.

[Bug 10669] Re: Filters are not applied to new mail on Exchange

2006-07-10 Thread Johan Walles
I haven't seen any filter triggering automatically on incoming mail. I
have five filters in place for my incoming mail. None of them seem to
trigger.

When I run them manually after having received e-mail, all of them seem
to work as expected.

The first filter rule out of the five non-triggering ones is:

Name: Johans CRar
If any of the following conditions are met:
Specific header X-WebClarify-Owner contains walles
Specific header X-WebClarify-Owner: contains walles
Specific header X-WebClarify-Owner: contains walles
Then:
Assign color [green].

I used three different queries for the e-mail header name since it's not
obvious to me how I should specify a header for it to match. At least
one of them is correct, since the filter works if I run it manually on
the inbox.

[Bug 49097] Filters not run on incoming

2006-06-09 Thread Johan Walles
Public bug reported:

I have set up a couple of filters.

I can verify that they work by marking some e-mail and do Apply Filter.

However, they don't get run on incoming mail. I have an Exchange
account set up, where I have checked Apply filters on new messages in
the inbox on this server. But the filters don't get applied. My
Exchange inbox is called Personal Folders/Inbox in case it matters.
That's a name that the server has come up with, not me.

As stated above, running filters manually work fine.

I'm using evolution 2.6.1-0ubuntu7, shipped with Ubuntu 6.06 = Dapper on
ia32, using a Swedish locale.
