Hello Pedro, I'm not sure if the codecs are installed or not. How do I check that? I can play YouTube videos on Totem without a problem. In fact, they play better in Totem than when they're accessed on the YouTube web page. The url is: http://www.nasm.si.edu/events/lectures/webcast/archive.cfm. There is a list of lectures that may be selected. The lecture files are in .wmv format. When I select a lecture, a separate window appears and asks what applicaion I'd like to use. Totem is the only application offered. Once I select Totem, it loads a separate window. The file loads and buffers. After the buffer sequence, the display shows play mode. However, elapsed time and total time are both 0:00 and the video never plays. I tried several of the lectures and none worked.
