[Bug 962350] [NEW] Contact accounts do not work and calendar can not add items
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 11:11 64-bit evolution 3.2.2-0ubuntu0.1 I use gMail with 4 accounts and sync eMail, contacts and calendar: Calendar accounts: Sync with Google, but I can not add event/meeting, etc via Evolution, or change any item. I have to use web interface. They do syncronize ok. So once entered or altered via the web browser they sync and appear in Evolution calendar, but not the other way Contacts: I have accounts appearing under Google in the left hand window menu, but the contents do not appear and I can not delete the account once create. I have zero access to my contacts when writting eMails or trying to look them up via contacts. I have to find them in the web browser. In addition, Calendar does not work properly either. It will not sync reliably. The accounts I had registered/created would not sync. I went in to properties and Retrieve list, add password and normally it starts working. Sometimes I have to recreate the account. PS I also find that my Calendar accounts are affected too. Let me explain: I have 5 private accounts hosted by Google. One I give to my wife and the others are for a private business. In addition I have a standard Google account for private use. I have set up 4 private accounts and my personal account on two PCs/Laptops for eMail use. I then have the Contacts synced for my main business (private account) and my personal account on these machines. I then have these two accounts and my wife's Calendar sync'd... On my wife's PC I have her account for eMail, contacts and calendar, plus my business and personal Calendars sync'd. All this worked fine until upgrade. Now what happens is. ALL the eMail accounts work fine unless they are looking for a contact. None of the Contacts accounts work, even after deletion and re-setting up. Error messages as above. Calendar in all cases the accounts did not work at the start, but after gong in to properties and re-establishing the account, entering the PW the contents downloaded. However, If I want the account to show or to make any changes I have to either go through the process again, delete the account and start over, or it just refuses to work. There is NO Question the two are very similar and I am sure related. I do not think it is number of contacts related. I have a number of accounts on a number of machines that I sync, including my wife's and she has only a few contacts and that won't sync either. I think there is something missing in the build for 11:04/Evolution and it just won't sync. I noticed that it shows up in my log report generated by the Report Bug tool, which is good. It has worked in all my builds up to now (from 8:04)... Have you managed to get anywhere/response from developers as yet? I expected that when I went in to Evolution, contacts that the Google accounts would be there and they would show all my contacts. Probably not. The only settings I added were the eMail account. There were no other settings suggested. I tried the other options mentioned by you and others, but there is not matching configs in the settings... Can you advise, please what settings go where.
