Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33266 Affects: hal (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: Dapper Drake, flight 4. Done al the updates. Machine has two dvd writers on board: /dev/hdc: TSSTcorpCD/DVDW SH-W172C (samsung DL writer) /dev/hdd: Plextor DVDR PX-708A Insert a dvd movie in /dev/hdc and get error with xine or mplayer of with the use of vobcopy -m or whatever normaly works. No dice..nothing works Reinserting the same movie in /dev/hdd and bingo...we got a movie. Somestimes after choosing a different GDM screen and after logging off, I get a message when loggin on, after the splashscreen whick say' s "a panel alreaydy found" or words like that. You'll get a blanc screen, only the desktop, no panels. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
