Ok, thank you. In additon I also noticed this bug happens also when taking control of the computer with VNC : Ubuntu 8.10 Xinerama on 2 screens with a nvidia Geforce 6600 and proprietary driver v177 Or v173 Step to reproduce: - connect to the computer with VNC (personnaly I use thight VNC on my office computer via a ssh tunnel) - move a window trough vnc - now if you try to use the mouse locally, you can only move the cursor, no clik, no right-clic, only the keyboard is usable until you restart X. -- Moving a window between xinerama screens using panel context-menu disable pointer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306062 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 305839] Re: Watch Movies and music without hangs
> Is this reproducible? Yes > If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? 1 Get the Elephants Dream movie at http://orange.blender.org/download (take the 480p h264/aac audio to ensure it can be played on a 5 years old system) 2 If required, install the needed gstreamers plug in to play the movie 3 play the movie in Totem, place the windows in a corner of the screen (or on your second screen if available) 4 open a nautilus window 5 you will notice frames drops in the movie during the opening of nautilus 6 if not, browse your hard disk, hit refresh button, your movie will stutters To continue the experiment : - renice the totem process to -10 - set ionice of totem to -c1 - go to step 4 You can replace Totem by Xine, Mplyer or VLC. I will open a new bug report for Smplayer because this player is specially affected. -- Watch Movies and music without hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 288020] [NEW] Rhythmbox pause button fade duration isn't customizable
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox In Rhythmbox preferences, if we check "use crossfading backend" we can choose a duration for crossfading (01-60s.). Another feature enabled by this check box is the pause button fade effect. but the duration of this fade is about 1s. and can't be changed in the user interface. I think 1second fade is too long. Another slider in the preference could be added under the title : Pause Fade in-out duration. with a rang of 50-2000 milli-seconds (or something like this) ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox pause button fade duration isn't customizable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288020 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
