[Bug 157319] Re: Xlib: extension RANDR missing on display :0.0 while using -nvidia with Xinerama turned on
Bug affects me pretty often when using a dual monitor setup to edit text. kris@knix1 ~/Desktop $ cat /etc/*-release DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint DISTRIB_RELEASE=10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=julia DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Linux Mint 10 Julia I think it's related to something being mounted within a different context. For example, if I switch to my secondary monitor and start using nautilus with an SFTP mount it will auto-mount that. When I try to use it again later it will give me the XRANDR missing problems. Doesn't seem to happen if I stay diligent about making mounts on the correct Xorg context. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157319 Title: Xlib: extension RANDR missing on display :0.0 while using -nvidia with Xinerama turned on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/157319/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 690448] [NEW] gedit hangs before closing files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit I stay connected to a lot of SFTP mounts. Sometimes things are slow to respond under certain conditions, which I'm not really sure what they are, but I do know that closing files always does it. I suspect it's doing a filemtime() style check. Just wanted to update and let everyone know that this hasn't happened to me recently. My version of evolution-data-server is the same, but I suspect my version of gnome-keyring has bumped. I don't use Evolution for anything, and I've never put any data into that system or have any kind of account linked with it. [Bug 518088] Re: Create another plugin for indicator, don't touch status icon one
There needs to be a runtime option to change between using a notification icon or the indicator-applet. Right now the only way is to recompile Rhythmbox without that patch, which I've done in this PPA: ppa:kris-santiance/oldrb Removing the indicator-applet or even the indicator-applet-session are both not a good alternative, since the power-manager applet has been moved into the former. -- Create another plugin for indicator, don't touch status icon one https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518088 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 337071] Re: Replace Move to Trash with Empty Trash for the Trash
Is this reproducible? If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? Yes. Use gconf-editor and search for trash_visible key and set to true. The Desktop will have a Trash icon. Right click this icon and observe the menu. Could you take a screenshot showing the issue? The first screenshot is of right clicking the Trash icon, and the second right-clicking a file to delete. You can't delete the trash, so I think the option shouldn't be there and instead the empty trash option. ** Attachment added: Screenshot.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23342314/Screenshot.png -- Replace Move to Trash with Empty Trash for the Trash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337071 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 337065] [NEW] Middle clicking volume applet doesn't mute
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets Until the upgrade to Intrepid middle-clicking the volume applet would mute/unmute it. I know many people who used this as their main method for quickly muting and unmuting audio before answering a phone call, getting up to use the restroom, or to quickly stop an annoying sound that shouldn't be played at work. I understand there are users that may not want this, but I don't see why the feature was removed without a configurable option. Many people think this is a bug after they open the applet preferences to see there is no setting to enable the previous behaviour. This is not a duplicate of #283003, because this feature existed before Intrepid. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Middle clicking volume applet doesn't mute https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337065 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 337063] [NEW] Clicking away from volume applet doesn't hide it
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets Before the upgrade to Intrepid clicking away from the volume applet bar while it was visible caused it to be hidden, which was the fastest and easiest way to hide it after making a quick change to the volume. This is how everyone I've ever seen use the system tries to use this volume bar. Since the upgrade you must click the volume applet button. It appears, pressing ESC also does not hide the applet, although I don't remember if this worked before Intrepid. This change is likely in the volume applet, since the brightness applet still disappears when you click somewhere else on the screen. In either case the two applets behave differently where they should behave somewhat similarly. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Clicking away from volume applet doesn't hide it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 317347] [NEW] Deep directory structures cause too many confirm dialogs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero When burning a DVD that had a large number of files I found out that the directory structure in some areas was too deep and violated the file system for the media. This is great and I'm glad the application detected this instead of rendering a non-standard disc.
