[Bug 523796] Re: Startup list does not save changes randomly
I've found this issue occurs with Chromium when running 11.04 32-bit and Classic desktop. You can add it to the startup applications and it may - or may not survive a reboot. Here's how I tested it. I opened the main menu applet, went to Properties and copied over the working settings used to start Chromium. I loaded these into the new launcher section of the Startup Application applet. I closed the applet. I opened the applet again and the Chromium launcher was still there. I rebooted. Chromium would usually start. Subsequent reboots it would not. And the launcher would vanish from the startup applications. Additionally, Chromium would not respond to the request to become the default browser when it asked on startup - but would if set in preferred applications! How can it be a permissions issue if it can survive one reboot but not another? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523796 Title: Startup list does not save changes randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/523796/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 563276] Re: No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction
@ Yury: Thanks for all your work on this annoying bug/feature... Myself I'd hope to have a choice! Anyway, as you may know, a simple script in startup fixes or, better said, works around, this choiseless gnome choice at least in natty as it was doing years ago: synclient TapButton2=2 TapButton3=3 BTW: work in squeeze, too, I'm still hoping gnome would change their minds and allow an option to be easily available. As I already said, KDE has it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563276 Title: No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/563276/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 432814] Re: Touchpad: Action for middle and right click is reversed since jaunty
Of course implementing a setting in gnome-mouse-touchpad would be desirable and I don't understand why they don't. KDE has a nice GUI configuration tab. Anyway, a quick workout in Ubuntu Natty, working in squeeze as well, is to add a tiny script in autostart, working per user: synclient TabButton2=2 synclient TabButton2=2 I seem to recall it has been already mention here and elsewhere. BTW Gnome might have their good reasons, but I _do_ use two finger tapping a lot and find three finger usage a bit awkward. and less precise. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432814 Title: Touchpad: Action for middle and right click is reversed since jaunty -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 563276] Re: No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction
For some unknown reason I've lost the three finger tap that now doesn't seem to work on my eeepc 1000H anymore. Two finger tap and scroll still works fine. Also, I'm not sure if this is an Ubuntu or a Gnome bug as it looks as it is affecting other distros (e.g. fedora). As I've already said before KDE offers easy - and working - customisation. I wonder why it it's true they stand on the same base. -- No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563276 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 563276] Re: No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction
Affects me too is not a proper statement here. It should rather be no set up option available. It affects gnome, but not kde. [Bug 432814] Re: Touchpad: Action for middle and right click is reversed since jaunty
I don't think tree-finger is that difficult: it just requires a bit to get used to. Also I do use two-finger tap quite a lot, so... I'm biased. 1-2-3 for me! From reading around it seems to me that the majority would like that 123. Also, if it can be of any help, kubuntu lucid _has_ the ability to change setting and it's probably worth a visit. -- Touchpad: Action for middle and right click is reversed since jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

The patch fixed it, but now I get 4 updates, the same I've just installed.
