[Bug 1299604] Re: evolution keeps asking for password

2014-06-09 Thread LeadMan
Mikhail, that is... odd at least :)

Lately I found a workaround for Evo password issue, go to:
Edit>Preferences>Email Accounts>choose your EWS account>click Edit>Receive
Options> set "Check new email every ... minutes" to some short time.
I have changed it from default to two minutes, and that helped. Now Evolution
asks for password only once right after start :)

Please let others know if that helped you or is my case isolated lucky
shot?

I can confirm this: Ubuntu 14.04, Evolution 3.10.4. with EWS Exchange account.
Evolution asks for password after start, then I cand fetch emails, but after
few minutes it asks again and claims password is wrong - which is untrue - i
made sure of it. At the same time Evolution's entry disappears from gnome
keyring. I tried to recreate Exchange account, but it didn't help.

[Bug 1008360] [NEW] context panel is shown after startup independent on settings

2012-06-04 Thread LeadMan
Public bug reported:

1)

Description:Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release:12.04

2)
patben@esp-patben-lin:~$ apt-cache policy rhythmbox

3)
As described in subject: context panel is shown after startup independent on
settings.

4)
I expect context panel to be turned off.

Steps to reproduce:
1.Start rhythmbox
2.Mark option Viev>Context panel
3.Restart rhythmbox (context panel is shown after startup, and this is proper)
4.UNmark option Viev>Context panel
5.Restart rhythmbox (context panel is still shown after startup, and should be
disabled)

[Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult

2012-03-12 Thread LeadMan
I agree with Renbag. I use terminal windows without scroll bar all the
time. Thi is not a solution. The only reasonable solution is to restore
invisible grabbing area of size~5 pixels within all long window's
borders.

[Bug 838810] Re: gnome-panel crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

2011-09-13 Thread LeadMan
Update:
This bug is rather not related to Evolution. Recently it started to occur
right after logging into Ubuntu, while none of application was started.
I have an new crash report from such a situation if you want it, but do not
know how to run apport-cli to combine options: '-u bug_number' with
'.apport/.crash file', in order to submit this crash report to this particular
launchpad bug?

On one of my machines I have similar issue. unity-window-decorator is
not running. After:
$ compiz --replace &
$ unity-window-decorator --replace &
border is more than 1px. Which package should I re/install to make it
work by default after restart?

I would suggest creating this resizing area only _inside_ this window, 4
pixels close to border.

These both are smart ideas.

And my applications.menu file contained only the following:

http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-1.0.dtd'>

Applications
/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu

Development

SQuirreL SQL Client.desktop

After additional search I have copied /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu to
~/.config/menus. After that, all menu entries has appeared back... together
with "" (empty name) entry.
Alacarte has started properly, I have moved squirrel SQL shortcut again to
"Programming" entry.
Now I payed more attention, when "(empty)" was selected "Delete" button was
greyed out.
I have clicked "squirrel" shortcut in menu entry and deleted it - went fine.
I have clicked "(empty)" - "delete" button was still grey.
I tried to move "(empty)" to subsection of "Accessories" with hope i will be
able to delete it.
Then all menu entries has disappeared and after I closed it, terminal contained:
pat...@esp-patben-lin:/etc/xdg/menus$ alacarte

** (alacarte:3726): WARNING **: Error loading menu layout from
"/home/patben/.config/menus/applications.menu": Line 6 character 9:

Conclusion: previously I have accidentally moved "(empty)" menu entry to
another section, which has triggered disappearance of all menu entries. Should
this be reported as separate bug? I remind you, that this bug concerns crash of
alacarte, when there are no menu entries.

[Bug 613358] [NEW] alacarte crashes on startup, when all menu entries are not present

2010-08-04 Thread LeadMan
Public bug reported:

3) alacarte is supposed to start

4) alacarte crashes:

cgi.escape(parent.get_name()), parent))
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_name'

5) Additional Info:
This has occured after:
a) I have installed Squirrel SQL client, with option to add squirrel shortcut
to "" menu section (name contains of empty string)
b) new main menu section "" has appeared, and inside there was a shortcut to
squirrel
c) I have moved this shortcut to "Programming(?)" section, it was ok
d) I tried to delete "" menu section from main menu.
e) all entries from main menu disappeared (this is unlikely that I have
selected all menu entries and deleted them)
e) alacarte stopped to respond, so I have closed it.
f) tried to start alacarte, and it has failed to start with the errors
mentioned in point 4)

If you need strace/ltrace/gdb/anything please let me know as soon as possible,
as it is very hard to work without main menu, and I will regenerate new
profile/home for my login.
If you need to know if this is repeatable, I can try to trigger this on another
login.

bug #486501 is private, thus i can not see if there is any missing
information that I can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for
the bug. Any hints? Or information if bug #486501 will be public soon?

[Bug 325333] Re: brasero crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc()

2009-02-05 Thread LeadMan
damn... yesterday I was able to reproduce this bug twice, but today i
can't do it. Thus i can not provide valgrind log file. Should I close
this bug report and reopen it when I successfully run brasero under
control of valgrind?

P.S. Is it possible to somehow run valgrind tests after error occurs and
bug report is triggered?

[Bug 299040] Re: [gnome-keyboard-properties] Error activating XKB configuration.

2009-01-14 Thread LeadMan
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 67188 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67188

Sebastian, it might be, as you suggest, concerning the fact that gnome-
control-center doesn't modify xorg.conf as some people suggested in Bug
#67188. But if it does modify xorg.conf, than it is not a duplicate of
#67188. Please consider this.

2)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/log# apt-cache policy gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center:
  Zainstalowana: 1:2.24.0.1-0ubuntu7.1
  Kandydująca: 1:2.24.0.1-0ubuntu7.1
  Tabela wersji:

3)
expected to change numkeypad comma key from ',' to '.' I am using polish
version of Ubuntu, thus not sure if my tabs/buttons/options/etc translations
are correct.
In gnome-keyboard-properties > "layouts" tab (second from left) > "Numeric
keypad layout selection" > check "force standard comma keypad"

4)
/* Begin of error message */
Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
10502000

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB
- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
/* End of error message */

P.S. I didn't know how to add more than one attachment for this report so I
made tarball or so. If you need additional info please let me know.
