Correction. Downgrading as above does restore normal operation. One detail that I just noticed is that while downgrading allows to save form content again and to display it properly, there remains one (presumably font-related issue): the checkmarks in checkboxes (e.g. check all the following cases that apply) appear as boxes indicating a missing glyph in the font used to display the document. This issue is actually much worse than I expected: Trying to use the non-free Acrobat Reader to perform the same task, I was dismayed to notice that it cannot be performed; Adobe expects people to buy a commercial product to be able to save the form's content back to the file. Thus, because of this regression, I am now totally unable to file my monthly declarations electronically; I am instead stuck with hand- writing everything onto this multiple-page document's paper version. I was sent here from bug #966147 but it seems that this is a somewhat different issue, since this was working fine for me in Oneiric. It's only since Precise that it breaks for me. As for the fonts used by the PDF, I wouldn't know. Actually, it seems that global loading of the Avahi module via /etc/pulse/default.conf was somehow removed in a recent upload of PulseAudio. No warning was issued to the user about this change. It was only upon grepping for avahi in /etc/pulse/* that I noticed that it was gone. I really wonder why. Could it be leftovers from the removal of
'prelink', as strace suggests?

Even after purging all nautilus plugins and, just to be sure, doing rm -r .dropbox-dist* then rebooting, I still get the above error. Public bug reported: Since version 3.x, on a fresh install, GDM uses the gnome-power-manager defaults as-is for its greeter session. This has the unfortunate consequence of putting the host to sleep after 30 minutes, which is not desirable in a situation when the same host is meant to provide network services. This is even less acceptable considering how the new dconf- based GNOME configuration system makes it extremely tedious for the user to fix this manually later on e.g. 'gksu -u gdm gnome-control-center' won't work, because dconf tools expect a direct access to the display and yet the new GNOME3 environment no longer has any proper tool to configure GDM sessions the same way that GDM2 did. [Bug 779805] [NEW] Breaks: seahorse-plugins ( 3.0) cannot be resolved as there's no seahorse 3.0 in the archive
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-keyring The newest gnome-keyring Breaks seahorse-plugins ( 3.0). While this may be technically correct, it currently is problematic as the current seahorse is 2.32.0-0ubuntu3. To fix this, either this Breaks need to be loosened up and narrowed down to a specific version or seahorse 3.0 needs to be uploaded into Oneiric.
