[Bug 1315817] Re: totem shows error Invalid commandline while running all media files
I did some research and found this problem affects only file on a Samba share (at least for me). Also, I tried opening such files while in guest mode and everything worked. My guess is, this is related to some left-over settings from previous installations... I removed settings and temp files for totem and samba (those in my home directory), and solved the problem... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315817 Title: totem shows error Invalid commandline while running all media files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1315817/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 444881] [NEW] [Karmic] Battery monitor applet doesn't show battery remaining time
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I'm not sure if this relates to the right package... On my HP DV-2620CA, the battery monitor in my top gnome panel does not show the remaining time, in Karmic Beta. I only get the percentage of remaining power. [Bug 443441] [NEW] [Karmic] Restart or shut down now requires root password
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session I'm not sure this is the right package, but... In Karmic Beta, every time I try to shut down or reboot, I get a message telling me that I don't have the user privilege to do so while other sessions are active. I have no apps open nor any other sessions opened. I then input my password. Then it closes as it should. This is starting to be irritating. This behaviour is similar to what you get in Windows Vista. [Bug 442763] [NEW] Karmic : cannot set specific apps sound in Gnome Sound Preferences
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media I'm not sure this is the right package, I'm guessing here... Here's the problem. When opening the Sound Window (from the Preferences Menu), one cannot set sounds (or no sounds) for specific apps or system events. Before, I was used to go there to remove the Ubuntu start sound (too long for my taste), now I have no option to do that, other than removing all system sounds by using the no sounds scheme. The rest of the windows looks great though, although there are fewer options...
