[Bug 360946] [NEW] While copying 10GB with Nautilus the system shouldn't suspend
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus If I copy 10GB from one place to another the system shouldn't suspend because of inactivity until the copy is finished. I think there are two possible solutions: * Nautilus should interact with HAL to inhibit the suspend process while copying a lot files, * Gnome Power Manager should detect this kind of activity and inhibit the supend process itself. I'm using Jaunty Beta. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- While copying 10GB with Nautilus the system shouldn't suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 113187] Re: standby and hibernate works only once
Why was this marked as Incomplete? The problem still happens. I don't think its a gpm issue because the problem occurs even using the pm-suspend command. What package might affect this problem? ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- standby and hibernate works only once https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 113187] Re: standby and hibernate works only once
Well, suspend continues to fail sometimes, but I don't think its a gpm issue, ie, gpm doesn't crash anymore. I'm already using Hardy. In order to fix suspend I tried all possible hal quirks but it continues to fail.. and it's very difficult to know the cause because usually it runs without problems but sometimes it fails. It isn't reliable at all. -- standby and hibernate works only once https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
