[Bug 1570227] Re: Open Recent Items show as always empty in Gedit
Looks like a Ubuntu issue to me, since in that Gnome bug, upstream says recent files have been moved to beneath the "Open \/" button on gedit's taskbar: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=742425#c3 And indeed they are there! However, on Ubuntu 16.04, gedit also has a "File" -> "Open Recent" menu, which is now non-functional (it's always empty). It's a bit confusing since "File" -> "Open Recent" has always been the way to find recent files. It should either be removed or work. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #742425 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=742425 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1570227 Title: Open Recent Items show as always empty in Gedit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gedit/+bug/1570227/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1385882] Re: Unable to mount iPad with IOS 8
Also occurs with iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.2 (not just iPad). After plugging in my phone, I get two icons in the sidebar: My name's iPhone and iPhone. They look identical and offer the same right-click menu choices (Open, Name, Unlock from launcher). Only the first one works, though: when clicked, the file browser opens and displays the contents of the phone, and the sidebar menu gains a new right-click option Unmount. The second icon (iPhone) seems completely inert. So the error doesn't seem to prevent the phone from being mounted, but something's not quite right. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to libimobiledevice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385882 Title: Unable to mount iPad with IOS 8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libimobiledevice/+bug/1385882/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1069964] Re: Unable to mount Blank CD-R disc. Location is already mounted.
I have this problem with an iPhone. When connecting my iPhone via USB for the first time after boot, everything works fine. But if I unplug the phone and plug it back in later, I get the effect described here: a message box pops up saying Unable to mount Max's iPhone | Location is already mounted. This message box cannot be closed. If I click OK, literally nothing happens. It's like it's not even a button. If I click the X in the top-left corner, the button visibly depresses, but the message box doesn't close. There are no other effects; the iPhone always mounts normally and can be navigated via the file manager. On Ubuntu 13.10 with an iPhone 4S, but this has occurred for a very long time, maybe since 12.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069964 Title: Unable to mount Blank CD-R disc. [Bug 441828] Re: System Monitor ignores close request and uses 100% of one core
Same here when running gnome-system-monitor with iPhone 3 connected via USB. Some observations: 1. As noted by other posters, I get tons of output from dbus-monitor --session 2. As mentioned above, when starting gnome-system-monitor, at first the only output on the command-line is: ** (gnome-system-monitor:6765): WARNING **: SELinux was found but is not enabled. 3. While experiencing the problem, the command-line that I started gnome-system-monitor from received these two messages thousands of times: (gnome-system-monitor:6582): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: cannot add match rule 'type='signal',interface='org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor',sender='org.gtk.Private.GPhoto2VolumeMonitor',': org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection :1.236 is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in configuration file if required) (gnome-system-monitor:6582): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: cannot add match rule 'type='signal',interface='org.freedesktop.DBus',member='NameOwnerChanged',arg0='org.gtk.Private.GPhoto2VolumeMonitor'': org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection :1.236 is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in configuration file if required) 4. Usually, after I plug in my iPhone, my system automatically mounts both Max's iPhone and Documents on Max's iPhone. However, when I unplugged the iPhone, restart gnome-system-monitor, and plug the phone back in, only the main device is auto-mounted, not Documents. 5. After removing and replugging the phone, I was not able to reproduce the problem during that login session. It only happened if the phone was already plugged in before I logged in. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-monitor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441828 Title: System Monitor ignores close request and uses 100% of one core -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 382020] Re: f-spot will no longer copy photos from camera
I think I have this issue. When attempting to import from my camera, in Transferring Pictures dialog: file:///home/max/doc/pics/Snaps/New/img_.jpg System.IO.FileNotFoundException: file:///home/max/doc/pics/Snaps/New/img_.jpg at Gnome.Vfs.Vfs.ThrowException (System.String uri, Result result) [0x0] at Gnome.Vfs.Vfs.ThrowException (Gnome.Vfs.Uri uri, Result result) [0x0] at Gnome.Vfs.FileInfo..ctor (Gnome.Vfs.Uri uri, FileInfoOptions options) [0x0] at Gnome.Vfs.FileInfo..ctor (System.String uri, FileInfoOptions options) [0x0] at PhotoStore.CheckForDuplicate (System.Uri uri) [0x0] at FSpot.CameraFileSelectionDialog.SaveFile (Int32 index) [0x0] at FSpot.CameraFileSelectionDialog.Download () [0x0] Error transferring file [Retry] [Skip] [Cancel] This seems to pop up once for every .AVI file in the batch to be transferred (it does not occur when transferring image files). The dialog box first displays a string like Transferring mvi_43404-0.avi, followed by the error. If I select Skip, f-spot continues to import files, but the next time it reaches an AVI file, it will once again complain about img_.jpg being missing. The missing file referenced (img_.jpg) does not exist on my drive. If I create the file it's looking for (e.g. touch /home/max/doc/pics/Snaps/New/img_.jpg), it instead throws up an error that looks the same but complains about a different file being missing (e.g. System.IO.FileNotFoundException: file:///home/max/doc/pics/Snaps/New/img_2223.jpg). I may well have moved/renamed a directory at some point, as I do have a similarly named file in a subdirectory (/home/max/doc/pics/Snaps/New/2008-03-17--08.44.00/IMG_.JPG). The AVI files do actually seem to transfer to the disk successfully. That is, the error seems to occur immediately AFTER each AVI file is transferred. f-spot 0.5.0.3 on Ubuntu 9.04 -- f-spot will no longer copy photos from camera https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382020 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
