[Bug 95991] Re: [apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gnome_vfs_context_get_cancellation() while playing mp3 in background

2007-07-25 Thread Mertiki
I had the same problem with rhythmbox 0.11.1 on Ubuntu Gutsy. It
sometimes freezes a bit, and sometimes it crashes.

I did a backtrace like described on
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash

[Bug 125340] Multiple mouses don't work with multiple users

2007-07-11 Thread Mertiki
Public bug reported:

This bug has been tested on two different laptop.

The first one was a 5 years old IBM laptop on Feisty with two built-in mouses.
The second was a Dell inspiron 9300 laptop on Gutsy with one built-in mouse and
a USB wireless mouse.

When accessing the Desktop of an other user through " Change User ", one
mouse will completely stop working.

Steps to reproduce the bugs are :

1. Have two mouses.
2. Open a session
3. Click the change user button to open another session without closing the
actual session.
4. Open another session

Eh voila, one of the two mouse isn't working anymore. If you go back to
the first user Desktop, the second mouse will suddenly works again. It's
pretty bad on a laptop with two built-in mouses because the most used
mouse always stop to work.

Is it possible that Xorg or another component just handle one mouse for
ALL users? The other mouse could belong to the user itself and can't be
used by another user as long as the session of that user isn't closed?
It sounds like that.

[Bug 123874] Gnome Buttons doesn't support more than one click

2007-07-03 Thread Mertiki
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I use Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.

It's not the first time that I see that problem, it probably appears on
every windows under Gnome.

When clicking on a button, it's impossible to click another time to that
button except if the mouse quit the button and go back to it. For an
exemple : If i click three time on the same button, Gnome will consider
that I just clicked on time, but if I click three times and move my
mouse between each click, Gnome will consider that I clicked 3 times.

It's pretty bad when you try to change the position of a icon in your
"Application" menu, and the only way to do this is to click a hundred
times to move a item.

[Bug 121051] virtual desktops freeze on shutdown

2007-06-18 Thread Mertiki
Public bug reported:

the virtual desktops become frozen and it's impossible to pick one of
them when the Linux Ubuntu system is shutting down.

Ok it seems normal, but if you have a text file in the virtual desktop
#3 that suspend the Shutdown of Linux Ubuntu, you cannot get to that
virtual desktop and answer the text editor to save the file before
Ubuntu Shutdown the system. So your system is just.. freeze.

Steps to reproduce this are :

1. Have 3 virtual desktops
2. Open Gedit on the desktop #3 and type some text without saving
3. Go to the desktop #1
4. Shutdown Ubuntu

That's it, your system is waiting for an answer, but you don't see it
and can't answer it.

Trick : It's still possible to go to the Desktop #3 with the keyboard,
but not with the mouse.

[Bug 113862] Volume and quality problems with ICH6 audio cards

2007-05-10 Thread Mertiki
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

This problem is experienced with this audio card : 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6
Family)
This problem doesn't happen in Linux Ubuntu edgy eft

My computer is a Dell inspiron 9300 laptop with a 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW
(ICH6 Family) audio card and internal speakers, 2 normal speakers in
front of my laptop and a little one under for more bass.

When lowering volume with the general volume bar in gnome-volume-
manager, the volume is lowered for the foreground speakers of my
computer but not for the speaker under the laptop. So the sound isn't
lowered but just distorted.

When using external speakers plugged into the speaker port, the volume
isn't lowering at all with the general volume bar.

The only universal way to mute sound correctly is the PCM bar..

[Bug 96001] Sound System Doesn't work anymore with special keyboard key on Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop

2007-04-05 Thread Mertiki
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

On Linux Ubuntu 7.04 BETA 1 on a Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop with a
sigmatel sound card.

Every sound, like the welcome sound in Ubuntu, are so loud that the
sound quality is completely bad. It is impossible to fix the sound level
with the special multimedia key near of the keyboard or with the regular
volume manager included with gnome. Linux Ubuntu do like if the sound
was properly lowered but it isn't at all.

Same if the gnome sound manager shows the volume at zero, the sound is
still really loud without any quality.

The options to desactivate welcome sound still works, the problem is
about sound management or the sound system of linux ubuntu.

Txs a lot.
