Update. It only seems to remember it as long as I dont close vinagre. I got bit by this. I fixed it by removing $HOME/.vnc/passwd after that, vinagre remembers passwords correctly again. Not sure why this works, since vinagre doesn't recreate the file, but it fixed the problem for me.
