[Bug 949944] [NEW] Rhythmbox segfaults when removing iPod playlist
Public bug reported: I've got a friend who owns one of those Appleproducts that I can't stand (promise, not me). Everytime a playlist is removed from an iPod (whether the playlist is empty or not doesn't matter) Rhythmbox crashes with the following text in the terminal: "(rhythmbox:13791): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to `RBIpodStaticPlaylistSource' (rhythmbox:13791): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to `RBPlaylistSource' (rhythmbox:13791): Rhythmbox-CRITICAL **: rb_playlist_source_get_query_model: assertion `RB_IS_PLAYLIST_SOURCE (source)' failed (rhythmbox:13791): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed" Attaching files from following executions: $ rhythmbox &> debug $ strace rhythmbox &> stracelog I think it's an iPod nano 3G (8GB), at least not one of those fat, squareish ones. [Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work
I am experiencing this problem too (marked #463582 as duplicate) and my steps to reproduce include a new session - and even a separate user. So this bug seems to be generic for any kind of account deletion, even with the original user created by a clean install of at least Ubuntu 9.10. The GIDs are the GIDs my users had. Steps to reproduce: 0. Login as administrative user (GID:1000) 1. Create a new user as Administrator (GID:1001). 2. Reboot. 3. Login as the new administrator. 4. Startup users-admin. 5. Remove the original user (GID:1000). 6. Close 'users-admin' and start it up again. Notice that the original user (GID:1000) is still there. I submitted this to upstream for my previous bug report. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=600056 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #600056 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=600056 -- [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458883 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-tools in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 424885] [NEW] Some icons shown despite unchecked "Show icons in menus"
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel I have unchecked "Show icons in menus" under gnome-appearance- properties. This is only effective for the first level of menus in gnome-panel, i.e. Applications. [Bug 355050] [NEW] seahorse can't sync with socks proxy only
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: seahorse seahorse can't access key servers over HTTP (hkp://) when only SOCKS proxy is configured in gnome-network-properties. I have no means to try with an HTTP proxy configured. Error message (for each hkp:// key server with respective change host:port) is as follows: "Couldn't communicate with server 'pgp.mit.edu:11371': Cannot resolve proxy hostname" This does _not_ happen for LDAP key servers (ldap://). I have System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy in Gnome ('gnome-network-properties') configured to: (*) Manual proxy configuration Socks host: 10.83.30.1 Port: 1080 "Use the same proxy for all protocols" is _unchecked_. Other proxy addresses are blank with "Port: 0" (blank turns to zero).
