[Bug 377970] Re: webcam Genesys gl860 not works with Ekiga but works on cheese & Camorama
Please tell me the webcam driver version (dmesg | grep gl860) and whether Ekiga is in v4l1 or v4l2. If you test only one of these modes, please test the other. If both do not work, install the version http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=229562&filename=gl860_2.6.29e.tgz using "./install -t" instead of "./install". This enables the traces in the driver, so try Ekiga and post 'dmesg | grep gl860'. -- webcam Genesys gl860 not works with Ekiga but works on cheese & Camorama https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Can you reproduce the scrambled stream ? -- ekiga crashed with SIGSEGV in GMVideoInputManager_ptlib::OPEN https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362804 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

>From the traces I see a streaming in 1600x1200, another one in 1280x1024, >another one in 640x480 (+-55 seconds) and a negociation sequence. The first two streaming are not asked by Ekiga I think because it is not intended to work at such resolutions. For the third, I don't know. This one is quite styrange as it looks always in overflow. Do you have an image during the 55s streaming? Are you able to reproduce the crash without trying to see the webcam in high resolution before trying Ekiga? -- ekiga crashed with SIGSEGV in GMVideoInputManager_ptlib::OPEN https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362804 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 362804] Re: ekiga crashed with SIGSEGV in GMVideoInputManager_ptlib::OPEN
Could you run a new test with the traces enabled in the driver ("./install -t his" for you) and provide the "dmesg | grep gl860". Also in the video options of Ekiga (Edition/Preferences/Video Device), are you using the V4L or V4L2 driver? -- ekiga crashed with SIGSEGV in GMVideoInputManager_ptlib::OPEN https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362804 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 272971] Re: Dock windows dangle when the panel autohides
Does the tooltip appear as soon as you scroll or have you to hover the mouse over the applet icon ? With Feisty I did not have to hover and so avoid to interrupt what I was doing. -- Dock windows dangle when the panel autohides https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 272971] Re: Dock windows dangle when the panel autohides
About that volume control applet, when you move the mouse on the applet and change the volume with the help of the mouse wheel (so without clicking on the applet to make the slider appearing), do you have the tooltip with the volume percent value appearing ? Since I'm using Interpid, that tooltip appears only as in usual case: leaving the mouse steady on the control some time. I think useful to be informed of the percent value as soon as it changed without having to wait for some time when the slider is not appearing. -- Dock windows dangle when the panel autohides https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
