[Bug 1581713] Re: Ubuntu Software always asks for an Ubuntu Single Sign-On account when installing or removing a snap package
Ubuntu sucks. I'm sorry, it just does. I have to install teams for linux and I have been working hard for hours to get it installed without success. Canonical seems heel bent on making Ubuntu as unproductive as it possibly can be. I know it is fixed but is just doesn't work. I updated snapd - no success. After removing the tick box from the Nautilus sharing option and sharing the folder through the shares-admin tool, the folder is once again shared. Nautilus does not show that the folder is shared. [Bug 50929] Re: Multilayer TIFFs only show one layer.
This is still happening with 2.16.1-0ubuntu1 As a work around, Evince 0.6.1 shows it properly. I cannot attach my test case because it contains confidential information, but the tiff contains 18 pages, shown correctly in Gimp and Evince. -- Multilayer TIFFs only show one layer. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/50929 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Michael, Thanks for your report. [Bug 73564] [shares-admin] Sharing a folder does not create SMB account
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools Setting up a shared folder, using SMB, does not actually create the Samba user, requiring the user to run the following command before access is possible: sudo smbpasswd -a `whoami` The symptom on a WinNT host is that it continues to prompt for a password. I strongly suspect that a desktop user would expect that the SMB account is the same as their login account, even though the two are separate, suggesting that the username and password should be synchronised. It is possible that this bug report needs to be assigned to samba, but I hesitate to do that because it is the GUI that is hiding (and missing) the functionality. ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Rejected -- [shares-admin] Sharing a folder does not create SMB account https://launchpad.net/bugs/73564 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 37126] changes after installing Konquerer. Gnome filemanager is confused
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37126 Affects: meta-gnome2 gnome-desktop-environment (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: After I installed Konquerer my laptop vaio shut it self down a few hours after. When I restarted Ubuntu started all programmes as it saved the session. I can't undo this. However the bigger problem is when I open a directory via the bookmark system. Opening my home directory isn't a problem as it is done with gnome file manager. But opening a bookmarket it will open KDE filemaneger to browse the dir. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
