[Bug 539536] [NEW] Errors reported at login

2010-03-16 Thread Paul Mirowsky
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I have recently updated to a new mobo while using old hardrives.
One drive has Windows XP/Ubuntu 9.10 on it and are clean installs
2nd drive has been updated to Ubuntu 9.10 and is main O.S.

The login screens do not match.

Updated from grub to grub2 without any problems.

Have reload gnome-power-manager from Synaptic. No Change.

Have looked for a way to check installation, but new systems are in
place that I don't understand.

[Bug 515518] Re: package glchess 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:

2010-02-09 Thread Paul Mirowsky
Stability part of problems resolved for the most part by adjusting
timing setting to auto in BIOS.

This is important to anyone with stability issues concerning PulseAudio
and Firefox Flash issues.

[Bug 515518] [NEW] package glchess 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:

2010-02-01 Thread Paul Mirowsky
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-games

I am locked into some kind of weird cycle of not being able to complete
update/install of files and pulseaudio/alsa video conflict.

If I use Linux elsa 2.6.28-17-generic #58-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 1 21:27:25 UTC
2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
There is no sound no hardware is found under sound preferences hardware tab.
However, the browser remains stable enough to finish this report.
DPKG under repair mode does not help and seems to report repairing the same
thing twice even though it does not.

If I use 2.6.28-18, sound preferences find my ATI sound hardware and even works
on occasion. Sometimes it by increasing sound
output under aumix and sometimes is by fiddling with pulseaudio setup.

Motherboard has and built in ATI video.

Thank you for your efforts.

2009-11-21 Thread Paul Mirowsky
Sorry, I am not running Karmic and will not until minimum of 3 months go
by. All updates have not been flawless and it always requires love
and attention.

If my OS version situation changes I will e-mail you with test result
saying so.

Thank you for responding though.
