[Bug 1573755] Re: compose and dead keys stopped working in gnome terminal
I believe it is an ibus-daemon bug. I had the problem at least in gnome- terminal, firefox (but not under Unity), thunderbird. I solved it less brutally than flushing the whole user DConf database by resetting one key: dconf reset /org gnome/desktop/interface/gtk-im-module which contained the value 'gtk-im-context-simple'. It worked: * for gnome-terminal after logging again, restarting the program wasn't enough. * for Firefox and Thunderbird only after restarting the system. The only user program that didn't restart after a relog was 'ibus-daemon', hence I believe it is his bug. What makes me wonder is why the Compose key worked on Firefox only under Unity and not GNOME 3. There might be a second bug there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573755 Title: compose and dead keys stopped working in gnome terminal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1573755/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 597893] Re: [about-me] login password not synced with gnome-keyring
It is an environment variable problem: while a 'passwd' process run from a terminal inherits all environment variables (and among them GNOME_KEYRING_CONTROL and DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS), the 'passwd' process run from 'gnome-about-me' is given an empty environment. -- [about-me] login password not synced with gnome-keyring https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597893 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 322314] Re: "Automatically connect on startup" setting confusing - users may expect this to run Empathy on login
I agree with Liam: a .desktop file should be added to /etc/xdg/autostart with an AutostartCondition. However I am not sure whether reusing the same configuration key (/apps/empathy/autoconnect) would be acceptable. -- "Automatically connect on startup" setting confusing - users may expect this to run Empathy on login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/322314 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
