Re: [Bug 130224] Re: gtkfilechooser save/save as dialog misplaces focus
How about removing the highlight of the pseudo file name then. If the focus is on the folder, highlight the folder but do not highlight the suggested filename. Brett Alton wrote: That's because you just clicked on a folder, so now the focus is with the folders, not with the filename. The problem was previously that the filename text field was never in focus when the dialog first opened. Now it is in focus when it's first opened, but if you move the focus to a folder (like you said) how is it supposed to know that you want to know type the filename? -- gtkfilechooser save/save as dialog misplaces focus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130224 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 197067] [NEW] gedit does not allow overtyping of file name during save as
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit When you go to save a file in gedit, and you go to the Save As, the dialog box opens with a suggested name for the file: Unsaved Document 1. This name is highlighted, obviously indicating that you should change the name to something that you want. However, as soon as you hit a key on the keyboard, the focus immediately changes down to the little box that says All Files! This is both annoying and not logical! If you have the proposed name of your document highlighted, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the program is suggesting that you change the default title of the file?? Who wants to save a file called Unsaved Document X. Further, why would you take the focus down to the type of file?? This behavior makes no sense. [Bug 122177] Re: Remember Autocheck Spelling per file
Please make the autocheck spelling be ON by default like in most editors and word processors. This is a wishlist item, I guess. -- Remember Autocheck Spelling per file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/122177 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
