I can confirm the issue. It seems to be a screen refresh problem or something similar. Steps to reproduce: 1. Log into GNOME. 2. Open any window and maximize it (this step is not mandatory, but a maximized window is useful to see the effects of this bug). 3. Right click on the top panel -> New panel. Result: the maximized window is narrowed from the right edge. The desktop can be seen throughout the space of the right, where the newly created panel should be. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: shared-mime-info Please, upgrade the shared-mime-info.mo files using the latest translations from the Launchpad template [1]. The current shared-mime- info.mo supplied in the latest Lucid Live CD (20100318) does not contains many translations which were translated several months ago. [Bug 542068] [NEW] Missing translations for "xterm failsafe session"
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session The "xterm failsafe session" located in /usr/share/xsessions/xterm.desktop has the X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gdm entry in order to use the translations from /usr/share/locale- langpack/xx/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo. However, the "Name=xterm" and "Comment=Failsafe session with only xterm" can't be translated because there aren't in the Launchpad template. The following query returns nothing: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/gnome- session/+pots/gnome- session-2.0/es/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=xterm We need to include i18n facility for, at least, the Comment= key, so we can translate the "Failsafe session with only xterm" string. [Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work
Great! Using the info submitted by Milan, I've found a create a patch which solves the user deletion problem for me. Like Milan's one, please apply the attached patch using: sudo patch /usr/share/system-tools-backends-2.0/scripts/Users/Users.pm < fix-deleting-user.patch and report if that fixes the issue for you. The rationale is: users-admin is using deluser command for deleting a user, but (I don't know why) does not work. My patch simply uses userdel command instead, which works as expected. ** Attachment added: "fix-deleting-users.patch" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34820363/fix-deleting-users.patch -- [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458883 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-tools in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

According to that, it seems like the cdrom0 icon should not exist. I attach two screenshots to illustrate the problem.
