[Bug 270976] Re: Brasero can't burn a video DVD
I can confirm that this problem still exists in Brasero 0.8.4. There is a message displayed now though indicating that the DVD cannot be burned with the enabled plugins. However, I have every recommended package installed. I am not sure what is missing and the debug log is no help either. -- Brasero can't burn a video DVD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270976 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 181703] Re: Brasero does not recognize audio CD or blank CD-R
Great news! Any chance of a backport of this fix to Intrepid or Hardy? [Bug 181703] Re: Brasero does not recognize audio CD or blank CD-R
I upgraded to the Brasero 0.8.3 package from Jaunty and it did not fix the problem. If it worked after compiling from source, then perhaps the problem is specific to the Ubuntu package. -- Brasero does not recognize audio CD or blank CD-R https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181703 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 178032] Re: Add to Address Book kills Metacity it doesn't return
I can confirm this bug and I can reproduce it with Gutsy (including latest updates). However, I believe that gtk-window-decorator is actually crashing, not evolution or metacity. In fact, if the bug reporter has selected advanced effects from the Appearance tool, they are most likely running compiz instead of metacity. I will attempt to gather more information the next time this happens. Until then, I hope that narrowing this problem down to the correct process affected is helpful. -- Add to Address Book kills Metacity it doesn't return https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178032 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 46078] Can't Open Text Files with gedit in Nautilus via gnome-vfs
Public bug reported: I cannot open text files (and sometimes other MIME types) from nautilus with gedit (sql, txt, etc.). No applications show in the contextual menu by default. When going to Open With Other Application, gedit (or Text Editor) is not even listed. gedit is also selected as my default application in Properties, but when I simply double-click I get a Cannot Display error. I believe this was working previously, but perhaps it broke with a recent update. [Bug 46209] Re: Nautilus Passes Relative Path to vim for Remote Files
I tested this and I think that in your syntax above, path refers to the absolute path with leading slashes. When I substitute an absolute path including the leading slash for the word path in your above command line example, it works correctly and opens the remote file. Working command line example: gvim -f sftp://SERVER//home/USER/FILE.txt In this case, path is /home/USER/FILE.txt. [Bug 46209] Nautilus Passes Relative Path to vim for Remote Files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus When opening a file through nautilus with gvim (via gnome-vfs sftp), the remote file path within the command issued to vim does not contain a leading slash as would be used for an absolute path. vim attempts to connect to the remote system properly but gives an error that the remote file doesn't exist since the path is incomplete.
