[Bug 1127820] [NEW] Unable to unset clip mask (gtk.gdk.GC set_clip_mask does not accept None)

2013-02-16 Thread SandraLAVixen
Public bug reported:

Once you set a clip mask to any GdkGC in PyGtk, you can not unset the
clip mask.

This makes the GdkGC useless if you need to draw with it again without a
clip mask. The X11 and GdkColor outside of PyGtk accept 0 or None as an
input to GdkGC::set_clip_mask()

To make things worse, this also throws an exception, causing the program
to stop running if it encounters a set_clip_mask(None).

[Bug 417979] Re: Send/Receive button is gray does not work

2012-03-14 Thread SandraLAVixen
This is actually a problem with evolution only checking with Network
Manager to check network status, it should check if the network is
actually online or not and not just check with Network Manager.

[Bug 404267] Re: no send/recieve

2012-03-14 Thread SandraLAVixen
This may (and probably is) related to the bug in which evolution only
checks network connection status with Network Manager.

Suggest doing additional network checks to not just assume network is
down just because ONLY Network Manager says so.

[Bug 614318] Re: Evolution thinks it's offline with WICD

2012-03-14 Thread SandraLAVixen
That's not the best approach (though it may work).

I suggest adding a master override in Evolution to always assume network
is up and not just checking with Network Manager.

[Bug 762295] Re: Send recived not available greyed out

2012-03-14 Thread SandraLAVixen
This is, in fact a bug, Evolution only checks with Network Manager to
see if the network is up or down.

There are connections that NM does not manage, so Evolution needs to do
additional checks or have an option to always assume online.

This is NOT invalid, it's a bug.

[Bug 602119] [NEW] Slideshow: video freezes for a few seconds at a time when playing DVD

2010-07-05 Thread SandraLAVixen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

When playing a DVD, the video sometimes freezes for a few seconds, audio
keeps playing, the video resumes for one frame only (at whereever the
play scrubber is at), audio plays normally and uninterrupted. It
basically looks like a slideshow with audio.

I can fix the video (get it to play normally) if I click on the play
scrubber, but other than that but whenever it goes to a new track or I
play a track from the DVD's menu this problem happens.

I tested the DVD on VLC and playing the DVD on an actual DVD player and
there were no problems.

Totem 2.28.2
GStreamer 0.10.25
Ubuntu 9.10

[Bug 602121] [NEW] DVD languages and subtitles not shown

2010-07-05 Thread SandraLAVixen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

I created an SD DVD with 2 languages, playing it with Totem and going to
Sound - Languages shows empty. I double checked with VLC and playing it
on an actual DVD player, in both causes the languages showed up.

Also, the subtitles that I added for each language do not display
either.

[Bug 489832] Re: Totem unable to play videos after installing Openshot

2009-12-01 Thread SandraLAVixen
Okay I've figured it out.

If you remove the PPA for Openshot from the Software Sources, and then
uninstall every package listed under ffmpeg in Synaptic Package
Manager and also uninstall Openshot, then reinstall the packages listed
under ffmpeg, then Totem will work again.

Just uninstalling Openshot was not enough.

I think this is because Openshot has its own ffmpeg and subsequent
libraries that it installs and makes Totem and other video players not
work.
