Not sure how affected we are. I have tested the above packages and created a profile for kontact locally and kontact no longer crashes hooray. I am still sorting out what I need to do here for the kde packages ( returning after a long time gone ) Is there a package I need to add new profiles or is someone else adding the new profiles?
