[Bug 976534] Re: Rhythmbox cummulates memory in precise - probably memory leak

2013-04-04 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1031449 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1031449

Is this bug being fixed? Cause I still have it in 2.96 in precise
pangolin. Any ideas what to do in order to not have to restart rhythmbox
every couple of days?

[Bug 1032224] [NEW] Renaming a file causes infinite loop when going up in the folder hierarchy when text selected

If you select a file to rename and press F2 to rename it, before
validating the rename if you go back in the folder hierarchy while the

[Bug 1011123] [NEW] Creating a folder in save or save as dialog does not work

2012-06-10 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
Public bug reported:

When I get the save dialog or save as dialog and press the create folder
button a new folder is created and I get a selected untitled folder so I
can over write it with what name I want to name it with. The problem is
that when I press any key nautilus jumps to searching for a file or
folder starting with that letter instead of overwriting the folder name.
So whatever I do I get a new folder always with Untitled Folder name. I
have to rename it manually afterwards. I worked until 11.10 and the bug
is present since the beta of 12.04.

[Bug 938234] [NEW] The system monitor eats to many cpu cycles

2012-02-21 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
Public bug reported:

I don't think it's normal when I open the system monitor to have my cpu
usage go up and the fans go to a higher speed. Most of the time the
gnome-system-monitor is at the top of list when sorting after cpu usage.
Is this by design? I don't get the same when using htop for example.

[Bug 776415] Re: The hide all windows and show the desktop button icon changes in dimension without apparent cause.

2011-10-20 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
This bug does not happen on Oneiric Ocelot but it happened in both 10.10
and 11.04 (and still does as far as I know). From what I remember it did
not happen with the Desktop CD because it did not install the fglrx
drivers. But after installing them the bug started happening.

[Bug 809643] Re: If only one song in the playlist sometimes after finishing playing it starts again

2011-08-05 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
I cannot yet recreate that issue in debug mode (and I have been running
in debug mode since I posted this bug) but I found something that may be
related somehow. After finishing the last song in a playlist in starts
playing I don't know what song since the song title doesn't change. It's
like it jumps to another directory and starts a song from there. The
last 2 or 3 songs in rhythmbox-debug.txt exhibited this behavior. The
strange thing is that I can get this bug to show only extremely rarely.

For example I listened to Blondie-Maria and after the song ended it
started another song(I don't know which since I have a large music
library and I haven't listened to them all yet). In rhythmbox-debug.txt
I see Blondie-Maria as the last song played even though it wasn't.

The only thing that I noticed and I may be wrong is that if I get a
stutter in a song by let's say changing from a tab to another that is
not in main memory in firefox (a small fraction of a second sound hitch)
then this issue gets exhibited. Only trouble is I don't always get sound
stutters so testing for this bug is made even harder.

[Bug 697358] Re: Regression in window list applet (wnck-applet) behavior

2011-06-18 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
I still have a bug where when I open a window maximized I still need to
focus it so it gets right in the center of the screen. It's as if it
starts 2-3 pixels to the right or left (on the other side I get white
lines or garbage) and only when I refocus i get the window to move to
center position and take the whole screen correctly. If you take a look
at the attachment you will see two white lines on the left and right of
the window going up to the tab menu. Should I report a new bug or is it
still in this regression?

[Bug 779689] Re: The clock on the panel colors itself even if other applet is activated

2011-05-10 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
Looks like it's not just the clock, but a more generic bug: Any icon
previously clicked will light up if and indicator panel is expanded. So
for example if the last icon clicked was the start firefox icon then the
shutdown panel was clicked, the panel expanded with the usual suspend,
restart etc but the back of the firefox icon lights up. When the
indicator is closed the icon also switches off.

lores: So does your show desktop icon change it size from time to time
from small to big? I ask because I have noticed the same bug on my
machine, it boots small but after a while gets big, after changing the
resolution by entering a game for example. I need to test this more
before I get a definite answer but this is how I see it until now.

[Bug 767095] Re: 1 pixel icons in notification-area-applet for qt softwares (e.g. Skype)

2011-05-07 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
I noticed something interesting: sometimes the system boots up very fast
(most of the times) and sometimes it takes a while (not just a little
longer but a lot longer). When the system boots fast I get 1 px icons
and when it takes its time it shows the icons correctly (both Skype and
Vlc). From what I understand it's the metapackage ureadahead that does
this fluctuations in the time it takes to boot, and maybe it influences
the order in which things are loaded, thus leading to the gnome-panel
showing the icons correctly for that session.

[Bug 767095] Re: 1 pixel icons in notification-area-applet for qt softwares

2011-05-05 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
For some reason right now it all works just fine, both Vlc and Skype
icons. I installed Apache2 package, mySql both server and client and
Mysql administrator and Query Browse, and php5 and php5-xdebug. I also
installed Kompozer and updated Netbeans and that is pretty much it.
After restarting the computer the panel seems to work fine icons showing
allright. I'll update with more info when I encounter more odd behavior.

2011-05-03 Thread Sebastian Bugiu
Drakej: I reported the bug like two or three weeks before the release so
they knew about it. It's just taking time to fix it, who knows how
complicated this may be? This is programming, sometimes you make great
progress in a small amount of time, other times you have a stupid bug
for weeks and cannot find it and fix it. Cut them some slack please. The
release date was fixed and they weren't going to push back just for
these rather small but annoying issues.
