[Bug 1992667] [NEW] Application windows invisible (on DG2 graphics)
Public bug reported: When using GNOME Shell with Wayland, all application windows become invisible from time to time. This usually happens right after starting GNOME Shell for the first time or after having a VRAM intensive application open, such as a game. I have installed the latest linux-oem-6.0 kernel and manually enabled support for DG2 graphics by passing the i915.force_probe parameter with the PCIe ID of the graphics card. I have attached a screenshot of the described behavior below. [Bug 1870922] Re: GUI Scaling does not work with multiple monitors
I don't think this issue is similar to the aforementioned issue. I was using the scaling factor 2, but other scaling factors different than 2 don't work either, except 1. And no, I do not have the experimental fractional scaling enabled, but it didn't work either. I have attached the journalctl log from a freshly booted session, in which I have triggered the issue by setting the scaling factor to 2 in the settings menu, which causes the screens to go blank and return to the previous settings after a couple seconds. To find the place at which it happens just search for `NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "NULL"` in the log ** Attachment added: "journalctl.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1870922/+attachment/5347100/+files/journalctl.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1870922 Title: GUI Scaling does not work with multiple monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1870922/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
