[Bug 45296] International characters messed up in mp3 id tags

2007-08-22 Thread Simon Cadieux
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

As can be seen in the attached screenshots, I am having problems with some mp3
id tags with international characters in both rhythmbox and banshee.
This happens for tags downloaded from free databases or entered locally. As
soon as I save and retrieve them, they all appear messed up.

** Affects: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Medium
 Status: Confirmed

2006-05-17 Thread Simon Cadieux
I can provide a file offline (tell me how and where) because they all
are copyrighted mp3s. I think the files that I cannot play are all files
that I encoded myself from CDs using banshee and/or goobox. I know for
sure that these were playable on other mp3 players (other
platform/devices) and previous versions of gstreamer.

[Bug 42247] Re: gstreamer0.10 refuses to play certain valid MP3s (not all, but some)

2006-05-17 Thread Simon Cadieux
Happens here as well. Some mp3 files that were playing correctly now create
"Internal Dataflow Error" when played through Banshee or Totem-gstreamer.
This started last week when I upgraded to the latest dapper packages. I noticed
gstreamer packages were upgraded during that process.
This happens only for some mp3 files, not all of them.
I do not have USB Audigy, and ALSA is selected as default output in
gstreamer-properties.

When played through gst-launch, I get:

Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...
ERROR: from element /playbin0/source: Internal data flow error.
Additional debug info:
gstbasesrc.c(1510): gst_base_src_loop (): /playbin0/source:
streaming task paused, reason not-negotiated
ERROR: pipeline doesn't want to preroll.
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
FREEING pipeline ...

[Bug 35881] Can't browse Windows Network

2006-03-21 Thread Simon Cadieux
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/35881

Comment:
I assume that if ubuntu-desktop now depends on that package (and it was
not at the time flight 4 was built because I had it installed -> fresh
install), then this is fair.

Worked after installing: libgnomevfs2-extra
Maybe it should be installed by default?

[Bug 35187] Cannot unlock screensaver

2006-03-16 Thread Simon Cadieux
Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/35187

Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Had screensaver running and session locked for the night. Went back this
morning and I can't unlock the session using the screensaver unlock dialog.
Gnome-screensaver complains about a wrong password.
However I can login to my account using ssh from a remote host, so this is not
a problem of wrong password.
