[Bug 45296] International characters messed up in mp3 id tags
You have been subscribed to a public bug: As can be seen in the attached screenshots, I am having problems with some mp3 id tags with international characters in both rhythmbox and banshee. This happens for tags downloaded from free databases or entered locally. As soon as I save and retrieve them, they all appear messed up. ** Affects: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed -- International characters messed up in mp3 id tags https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45296 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 42247] Re: gstreamer0.10 refuses to play certain valid MP3s (not all, but some)
I can provide a file offline (tell me how and where) because they all are copyrighted mp3s. I think the files that I cannot play are all files that I encoded myself from CDs using banshee and/or goobox. I know for sure that these were playable on other mp3 players (other platform/devices) and previous versions of gstreamer. -- gstreamer0.10 refuses to play certain valid MP3s (not all, but some) https://launchpad.net/bugs/42247 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 42247] Re: gstreamer0.10 refuses to play certain valid MP3s (not all, but some)
Happens here as well. Some mp3 files that were playing correctly now create "Internal Dataflow Error" when played through Banshee or Totem-gstreamer. This started last week when I upgraded to the latest dapper packages. I noticed gstreamer packages were upgraded during that process. This happens only for some mp3 files, not all of them. I do not have USB Audigy, and ALSA is selected as default output in gstreamer-properties. When played through gst-launch, I get: Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Pipeline is PREROLLING ... ERROR: from element /playbin0/source: Internal data flow error. Additional debug info: gstbasesrc.c(1510): gst_base_src_loop (): /playbin0/source: streaming task paused, reason not-negotiated ERROR: pipeline doesn't want to preroll. Setting pipeline to NULL ...
