[Bug 1640741] Re: ubuntu 17.04 gnome-software install button not working

2017-04-18 Thread Stanislav Khotinok
Hi,
Hi,
Hi, is it really fixed?

I've installed clean Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) and have the same
issue. When you download any .deb file like Chrome, Virtualbox and etc
and double click on it - it opens Software Center. But clicking on
Install button does nothing. But if you select any app from Software
Center, for example Caffeine - Install button works just fine. So the
issue is only with downloaded .deb files. If you try to use Gdebi for
the same files - everything works fine.

I've tried reinstalling it by doing:

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove gnome-software
$ sudo apt-get install gnome-software

But the problem remains.

Same issue here. Can't install any deb package in software centre.

[Bug 1286910] Re: Lock screen uses last active window's language instead of default keyboard language

2014-06-25 Thread Stanislav
I can confirm this too.

I don't have the option Allow different sources for each window enable, but
the bug still works. My setup is:
 - two keyboard layouts: English and Russian
 - Alt+LShift to change between layouts.
 - Use the same input source for all windows enabled.

I switch the layout to Russian, then lock the screen via Ctrl+Alt+L.
Result: the lock screen keyboard layout is set to Russian instead of the
default English layout.

An additional commend: the lock screen inherits the keyboard layout from
the desktop, but the converse is not true: the layout of the desktop is
the same as it was before the screen was locked, independently of
whether it has been changed in the lock screen.

[Bug 797485] Re: Status Bar Covers File Name at Bottom

2014-01-24 Thread Stanislav
Affects me in the same way as the previous speakers. I have the list
view set as default and so I have to deal with this bug on a daily
basis. Since at least one file is selected alsmot all the time, its
information pop-up covers the last file in the list completely so I
cannot see it nor open the file. Very frustrating. The only way to
access the last file in the list is the one suggested by doken --
Ctrl+click deselect the currently selected file.

[Bug 691910] [NEW] DVD menu doesn't work properly on some DVDs

2010-12-18 Thread Stanislav German-Evtushenko
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-plugins-good

DVD menu doesn't work properly in Totem on some DVDs. For example on
that one: http://tfile.ru/forum/download.php?id=365804uk=11

Updating gstreamer0.10-plugins-good and gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad from
ppa gstreamer-developers helps, but I'm worried about breaking something
else with this update.

For the clean experiment I reproduced the problem with Ubuntu 10.10 LiveCD:
1) boot livecd
2) install gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad and gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
3) play DVD with totem - menu doesn't
4) upgrade gstreamer0.10-plugins-good and gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad from ppa
5) DVD menu works

It there any way to fix the problem quickly without using PPA?

Guys, I really don't understand.
72 posts about exchanging 2 - 3 and 3 - 2. Is it really so hard? There are a
lot of other important things that we can/should do. Why can't we just exchange
2 - 3 back and close the issue?
