Thanks so much Frank, that totally worked. I was running out of ideas. -- gdmgreeter Failed to connect to socket https://launchpad.net/bugs/62342 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 66127] Re: GDM sets to gnome defaults rather than Edgys
I really don't think this is actually a theme issue, i've got everything installed that you mention. After I read the description of bug #62342 I realized that was a better description of my problem. -- GDM sets to gnome defaults rather than Edgys https://launchpad.net/bugs/66127 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 66127] Re: GDM sets to gnome defaults rather than Edgys
I just realized that I attached the conf files from after a dpkg- reconfigure. I filed this bug too without finding this one. The number is 66127 and I'd like it to be merged. -- gdmgreeter Failed to connect to socket https://launchpad.net/bugs/62342 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 66127] GDM sets to gnome defaults rather than Edgys
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm When running edgy testing, I've been getting odd behavior from GDM. The system will seemingly boot fine, then when I should be seeing a ubuntu branded GDM, i see the gnome flowers. When I try to log in after that, I get a blank blue screen rather than a gnome session. The only way I seem to be able to get around this is by running a dpkg-reconfigure of gdm. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- GDM sets to gnome defaults rather than Edgys https://launchpad.net/bugs/66127 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
