[Bug 64626] Re: Shifty .m3u Playlist Streaming
Hey Sebastien, I'm using Feisty, with totem 2.17.3, and the issue has been resolved here. -- Shifty .m3u Playlist Streaming https://launchpad.net/bugs/64626 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 38759] Re: Rhythmbox 'forgets' what's on my iRiver H320 DAP (and takes 5 min. to rescan every time I execute it)
Aha! Thank you very much Sebastien, that will certainly work. Although, I don't think I agree with the decision to hide that plugin by default. The number of computers that will be associated with an mp3 player is probably less than 50%. Maybe all plugins should be shown in the interface by default? There aren't enough to be overwhelming, and they are all named clearly... -- Rhythmbox 'forgets' what's on my iRiver H320 DAP (and takes 5 min. to rescan every time I execute it) https://launchpad.net/bugs/38759 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 38759] Re: Rhythmbox 'forgets' what's on my iRiver H320 DAP (and takes 5 min. to rescan every time I execute it)
I'm using Edgy with Rhythmbox 0.9.6, and its doing the same thing with my 60GB iPod. It uses 100% of my CPU for 10 minutes to list all the songs on it every time I plug in the iPod or start Rhythmbox. But the real trouble is that I have the iPod support plugin DISABLED anyway, because I don't want to use Rhythmbox to manage what goes on there, and it still insists on the indexing. -- Rhythmbox 'forgets' what's on my iRiver H320 DAP (and takes 5 min. to rescan every time I execute it) https://launchpad.net/bugs/38759 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 64626] .m3u Playlist Streaming Only ONCE per Session
Public bug reported: I was running Dapper when I first noticed a problem, but I recently reinstalled with Edgy and wanted to see if it was still happening. I didn't notice the pattern until just now: If I stream a .m3u playlist in Totem that links to .mp3 or .ogg files (such as http://www.hoodidge.net/mp3playlist.m3u or http://www.hoodidge.net/oggplaylist.m3u), it will work the first time, but ONLY the first time per session. After that, it will buffer to 99%, and then either stop, or refuse to play anything. I've attached my lshal output in case it is a hardware issue, but I doubt it. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- .m3u Playlist Streaming Only ONCE per Session https://launchpad.net/bugs/64626 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 64626] Re: .m3u Playlist Streaming Only ONCE per Session
Aggh! This is a slippery one. It also might have something to do with the file length? When I uploaded those files/playlists I put up the whole songs, but I was concerned with a legal issue so I went back and shortened them to 30s clips. And then the playlists would stream! Keep in mind this is for ogg and mp3 files, and I first noticed it with eMusic samples, so I highly doubt it is an issue with the files themselves. -- .m3u Playlist Streaming Only ONCE per Session https://launchpad.net/bugs/64626 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 35916] Re: Changing Event with Attachment after Cut and Paste Crashes Evo
Wow, this one has been sleeping for a while. After checking that it was still happening on my up to date Dapper machine, I got this output from locale: - [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US:en_GB:en LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8 LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MONETARY=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=en_US.UTF-8 LC_PAPER=en_US.UTF-8 LC_NAME=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ADDRESS=en_US.UTF-8 LC_TELEPHONE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8 LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ALL= - And since I have a machine running up-to-date Edgy as well, I was able to reproduce the error on there. Just wanted to bump this bug up a bit... I think we realize it is a GStreamer issue, and not necessarily the fault of the players. [Bug 39698] Printed Document Shows Block for Tabs
Public bug reported: Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: In a completed updated Dapper (gedit 2.14.2), printed documents show a 'block' (unknown character icon) before each tab. I've tried creating new files, and with/without the Indent plugin, but all tab characters get the 'block' added when printed. The print preview does not show the 'block'. I am using the English (United States of America) locale setting in GNOME. Because I needed to test out my scanner drivers anyway, here is a scan of the printed page. The first 4 lines were indented using the tab key on my keyboard, and the rest were with the Indent plugin: http://www.hoodidge.net/bugs/indents.png -- Printed Document Shows Block for Tabs https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/39698 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
