[Bug 179175] Re: file copy in nautilus loses data without warning user

2009-03-21 Thread Studi8
I had problems with cut and paste in Nautilus too, this is the best
matching but report, so I write the problem here.

When cutting several folders in the home directory with ext3 Filesystem
(strg+x) and pasting them (strg+v) to a USB stick or an SD card with FAT
filesystem, not all the files are copied. There is no error message and
everithing seems ok, until you try to find the files, they are lost. This
happens whitout removing the devices, so it's no data loss due to plugging out
too early. I cannot provide more informations, because I'm only a user, but it
seems to exist since Hardy. More Information in german:

Isn't there even a chance to get a slider in the Nautilus options which
sets the size of the preview?

2008-06-26 Thread Studi8
Public bug reported:

Priority: Low
Realization: (Maybe) Easy
Improvements in terms of Look&Feel: High

- Inprove the raster on the desktop, it is too near to the right border
(cp. pic)

- The Preview-Icons shouldn't be too large compared to ordinay ones (cp.
pic)

- When doing drag&drop and moving fast over a place (left side of a
folder window) nautilus should ignore it at first. otherwise the file
gets stuck there for a sec, while the system is checking the floppy or
whatever.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
