[Bug 1577927] Re: After upgrade, can no longer set tab titles
This was fixed upstream in 3.20 (with a rather nasty commit message), but even on 3.28 it is not working in Ubuntu 18.04. A brief (5 minute) examination of the code shows that it is there in the Ubuntu source package. Someone that actually maintains this will know more of why it is still broken. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577927 Title: After upgrade, can no longer set tab titles To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-terminal/+bug/1577927/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 966858] Re: [power]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in gnome_rr_screen_get_dpms_mode()
I did some further investigating on this, and I don't thing this is a dup of bug #956824. This bug occurs on the preinstalled images during oem-config setup. Once logged in, the bug never reoccurs. Also, I hacked the Beta 2 image to update to gnome-settings- daemon_3.4.0-0ubuntu2_armhf.deb (which fixed bug #956824), and still see the error during the same phase. Running apport-retrace on the crash file doesn't produce much helpful info (corrupt stack). Trying manual debugging from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash (although since this happens only during oem-config, not sure how far I will get). [Bug 164233] Re: [Upstream] [hardy] Opening pdf with smooth gradient in Evince displays striped
I retested this on a theory (see 164233.tar.gz). Test1.pdf is from the steps above, and produces a chunky result as described. test2.pdf however was created using the print to file method of creating pdf files, which I believe is a completely different library, and it looks right (at least on this system). Interesting to see these comments. Quite honestly, if upstream Gnome developers haven't fixed this issue, I am not sure why Ubuntu should be at fault. [Bug 446743] [NEW] gdmsetup allows autologin even when home directories are encrypted
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm GDMSetup should not allow autologin when home directory is encrypted. What happens is the login goes through and the desktop tries to load before the encrypted home directory is mounted, resulting in app crashes. The end result, at least on UNR, is the user is left staring at a blank screen with a mouse cursor and default background. The only way to correct this is to press the power button and select logout when the power control dialog pops up. Steps to reproduce: During a fresh install of UNR (may occur with desktop as well), select login with encrypted home directory when adding user information. reboot after install completes, and set passphrase for directory encryption after logging in for the first time. Open GDMSetup (System-Login Screen) and unlock it. Set autologin to enabled, no delay for other users. Reboot and watch the show.
