[Bug 1639507] [NEW] gnome-control-center in installed software is listed with wrong icon and title
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu Software under Installed programs the listing for gnome-control-center package has title "Wacom Tablet" and tablet icon. This is dangerously confusing, as average user can easily remove control center without knowing it. I propose disabling gnome-control-center removal from Ubuntu Software by moving it to "System Applications" section. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "wacom-tablet.PNG" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1639507/+attachment/4773115/+files/wacom-tablet.PNG -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1639507 Title: gnome-control-center in installed software is listed with wrong icon and title To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1639507/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 490696] [NEW] Does not save multiple attachments correctly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Evolutions does not work correctly with multiple attachments. If I choose to save all in the email with multiple files attached, the file dialog pops up, but pressing save produces nothing. It is the same bug as in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/173930, but since that bug was filed almost two years ago, I am reporting it again. This behaviour is unacceptable (though I lived with it for a long time :) ) Maybe it has something to do with my setup. I pull all my emails with offlineimap, and use the evolution to read them from local folders in my home directory. [Bug 479804] [NEW] evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in pthread_mutex_lock()
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Evolution died with firefox starting in background during intensive writing and reading from disk. I think Evolution was still checking folders for consistency when it died. Maybe offlineimap interfered also. The apport suggested sendind 150 Mb file, I opted not to. [Bug 112094] evince hangs on certain ps file
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince Evince hangs on one ps file: http://uosis.mif.vu.lt/~zemlys/stuff/EKS060523.ps It is a beamer slide. Gv shows this ps file with no problem. Evince just hangs, and starts gs process which gobbles all the memory available and virtually halts the system. By killing Steps to reproduce First way: 1. Start gnome-terminal and enter command killall gs without pressing enter 2. Click on the link above using Epiphany. It will automatically download the ps file and will start evince. 3. Watch your RAM usage go up like crazy 4. Switch to gnome-terminal and press enter. This will unfreeze your system 5. Issue killall evince in terminal to kill hanging evince window. Second way: 1. Download the source of tex file http://uosis.mif.vu.lt/~zemlys/stuff/EKS060523.tex 2. Make sure you have packages texlive, latex-beamer, littex, latex-ucs, lmodern installed. 3. Start gnome-terminal and cd to the catalog where you downloaded the file. 4. Issue commands: latex EKS060523.tex dvips EKS060523.dvi ps2pdf EKS060523.ps 5. Wait for gstopk to settle down, because it has to render new fonts. 6. Open file EKS060523.ps with evince, with the same precautions as in the first way. 7. Observe the same results. I suspect that this may be a bug in tex packages required to compile the file, but still evince should fail gracefully, when it cannot display the file. Also gv has no problems with this file, so evince really has some problem. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- evince hangs on certain ps file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
