oook. And that is supposed to be an improvement? Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox The search in the library i don`t know how to call it ... the one that is similar to the one in nautilus which starts when you type is finding matches in the album column but not in the title column as it did before . Yes it is reproducible because it just doesn`t work as it should be. Here is a video of it in action. Mika Wahlroos Rhythmbox doesn`t quit if it`s not playing if you make the status icon to own the main window but the icon appears in the notification area applet . So i think it`s not intentional it`s maybe they didn`t care having two music player icons in the panel or they never thought hiding rhythmbox is important. Mika i`m sorry ... i`m using dockbarx and with it if i don`t have the rhythmbox icon in the sys tray it wont hide. i just tested with the window list applet and with that it hides to the sound indicator , but only when playing . [Bug 658844] [NEW] status icon plugin doesn`t work correctly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox So if you leave the setting as default then rhytmbox will close on close button pressing and no song playing but if a song is paying then i can`t hide the windows it just minimizes. If i change the settings to be able to hide the window i get a somehow duplicate rhytmbox icon ... one is the sound menu where i have the music menu things and then the rhytmbox status icon in the notification area which has almost the same functionality. I think it would be better to be able to hide rhythmbox to the sound menu by alowing the status icon to own the main window but not appearing if indicator sound is present.
