[Bug 649693] Re: Gnome Panel messed up (painting)
it's not related to nvidia. ** Package changed: nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 (Ubuntu) = gnome-panel (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649693 Title: Gnome Panel messed up (painting) -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 521766] Re: Theme not applied on startup
I'm reopening this bug, it has been with me for ages, I decided to investigate it recently, I enabled apport but it didn't intercept any crash (I suspect so at least, since it didn't pop-up as it usually does). As noted above, the problem should be related to gnome-settings- daemon, last time I experienced the bug (5 min ago) the process wasn't running, and launching it again solved the problem (i.e., the theme got loaded). May it be that gnome-settings-daemon crashes before apport gets started? How can I work around this? Thank you for the suggestions. [Bug 426185] Re: Gnome-panel fails to load various applets
Well, I can confirm you that in Karmic it's not fixed at all. Additionally, this is a bug that many users can experience without being able to easily reach the relevant launchpad bug entry. I myself tried several times to google for it, and only today I managed to land here. Ah, I have two PCs and that happens in both of them. -- Gnome-panel fails to load various applets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 376233] Re: dvi render blurry
I confirm this bug as well, now I'm in karmic, but I was experiencing it in jaunty as well. -- dvi render blurry https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376233 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 376233] Re: dvi render blurry
it looks like being a zoom-related problem. I downloaded the Intro.dvi file, and on 100% it would render blurry. Setting the zoom to best fit (with buttons, *not* with the drop-down menu) and increasing to 100% (with increase zoom), it would look right (not perfect, but much less blurry). Setting the zoom to fit page width and then reducing to 100% (with decrease zoom), it would look blurry again. Other documents work the other way round. -- dvi render blurry https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376233 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 278059] Re: clock applet does not remember home location between sessions
I'm experiencing the same, too. I'm using 8.10, but it was the same with 8.04.
