[Bug 283938] Re: gstreamer cheese
1) I run luvcview, it sets back my camera to 640x480, and I can run Cheese. 2) Once Cheese workin, I put my camera resolution to 1280 x 1024 (this was default in Hardy for me) Cheese works with this new resolution until I quit. 3) I try to run cheese again, It bugs, and I have to go back to 1 in order to make it work. -- gstreamer cheese https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gst-plugins-base0.10 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 283938] [NEW] gstreamer cheese
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-plugins-base When trying to use Cheese in Intrepid Ibex, I get the following message : (cheese:7961): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_element_set_state: assertion `GST_IS_ELEMENT (element)' failed (cheese:7961): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_object_unref: assertion `object != NULL' failed (cheese:7961): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_object_unref: assertion `object != NULL' failed My webcam is a Chicony usb 2.0, uvc compatible webcam, on a toshiba u-300 laptop. Everything is working fine with Ekiga, but not with Cheese or Camorama, so I think it's a Gstreamer and not a Cheese bug. Everything was working fine in Hardy. I report this bug under gstreamer0.10-plugins-base because I could not find exactly wich package is containing the webcam plugins. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager On my Toshiba Satellite U-300, Fn keys and Gnome power management tools (including Gnome-Panel's brigthness applet) seem to work independently. I can adjust the brigthness using the FN keys, and it won't affect the applet slider, for example...
